In Latin America has literally means gas and not gasoline. Gas is for cooking and gasoline is for cars. There are some cars that run on gas (not gasoline).

Yeah, I take full accountability for not being fluent in Spanish in Spanish speaking countries, with all that brings. A lot of the confusion I face is of my own making hahaha. And I’m aware that they call the fuels different things in different countries (gasoline is Naptha in Argentina for example). And I have since figured out that some gas stations are only propane or GNG/LNG, however the stations are usually separate or have separate areas. I went to one LNG/GNG station in the video by mistake, my fault. But… The issues I faced in Bolivia weren’t caused by a misunderstanding over fuel type or my limited Spanish. For example, the first guy in the video said “gas” before I did, that station did not have GNG, and I obviously needed gas(oline) for my motorbike. I am 99% sure he filled the van ahead of me with gasoline before he told me there was no more. He also told me the van ahead did not put diesel, but gas (there was not GNG/LNG there) and then changed the story and told me they put in diesel. After also telling me there was no diesel… Crazy and very confusing, made worse by my limited Spanish 😔. Most station attendants simply didn’t want to give me gas in Bolivia, for whatever reason they may have had. But there was always someone ready to go out of their way to help me. Funny enough, if there was a police officer in the station when I went I never had any problems LOL. It’s all part of the adventure, and now it’s just a funny story; but man was it ever frustrating at the time 😤. Thanks for watching and your info, I hope you got some entertainment out of my misfortune! 😂🙏🏼

Gas actually refers to propane GAS. Gas and gasolina are two different things in latin america. Gasoil is diesel.

Yeah I’m 100% sure my awful Spanish makes things far more complicated, and I’m familiar with gasoil for diesel as well as with the LNG (usually called GNG here?). And I’ve been caught out that most LNG/GNG gas stations don’t sell gasoline. But…. This station only has diesel and gasoline, no GNG. The pumps in Bolivia are “gasolina” and “diesel”, and I’m riding a motorcycle that obviously takes gasoline(a). And I’m almost certain that the vehicle in front of me put gas and not diesel. It’s kinda crazy the lengths they will go to to AVOID selling you gas in Bolivia lol
