I actually had this video idea requested to me like a year ago, so if the person who requested is still out there... surprise !! I didn't forget lol.
I hope you lovelies like this video, I really like how it all came together. I had so much fun "time traveling" to live my vintage 1970's dream, I wonder who made the sewing pattern before, and what fabric they used. I have no doubt the vintage pattern I used was the original from back in the day. I also just realized that ALL the materials I used for this were thrifted (except the buttons), that's an extra bonus in my book.

That turned out great! That was a great idea to use a contrast color for the collar and pockets - that really made it! I'm gonna steal that for when I get around to sewing from my vintage jumpsuit patterns.

What was the base size of the pattern did you use for your size? Ik you had to adjust but which one did you cut out? I'm trying to figure out if there's a lot of ease in it. I'm sewing some pants 1976 pattern and can't for the life of me figure out which size to cut lol
My pattern was used and was already cut to a size 10 I believe. I would cut it big and then take it in if you need! :)

@@misty1836 it’s hard for me to say haha it sounds like you’re pretty petite! I would also say most patterns have the measurements on the back like mine did in this video. I usually cross reference my measurements to the back!
@@LivandCreate yea me too but I heard sometimes the pattern can have up to 4 inches of ease and comes out way too big.. that's why I was wondering 👍 since you made this what type of material you think is best?
@@misty1836 if your pattern has a lot of ease like that I would just choose any fabric you like haha! If it’s tighter maybe some fabric with some stretch?
