In case anyone is wandering, Sam Tyler kills himself at the end but his brain is still conscious for 7 minutes which in his dream time is 7 years so he lives until 1980 but then mysteriously disappears as he officially dies then which is why he is not in ashes to ashes which is set in 1981.
@@GGJAMALK You can only move on from Genes world when you've accepted your new life and accomplish what you couldn't (but wanted to) do in the real world, like Roy, Chris and Shaz. Sam Moved on when he was finally ready, Gene helped him but he either can't remember the event or he choses to not mention it as Gene wants to stay in this world despite him being able to leave. Annoyingly that part is never really explained.
It’s the guy who talks about shows and has a massive dvd and blu ray collection who also has a comment on a life on mars video and why am I replying to a 12 year old YT comment ok goodbye like your channel. AND THATS THE END OF THIS COMMENT THANK YOU AND GOODBYE IN YOUR DREAMS (tv turns off)
you'll find this funny but the other week while looking for something good to watch of an evening I started watching one piece the cartoon and life on mars at the same time

Best series ive ever seen, so clever, brilliantly acted, i miss this ,
Must be one of my favourite endings ever.
Best TV series ending ever. PERIOD.
Blakes 7 still holds that. This was right up there.
The saddest thing here is that Sam has genuinely and literally gone insane.
.....solo il finale di Endeavour mi ha emozionato di piu''.......due serie favolose.
So the Master died in the Doctor's arms and ended up as Sam Tyler who was in turn cast backwards in time...Makes sense to me... :D
Eh wibbly wobbly timey wimey
This is right up there with the ending of Blackadder Goes Forth.

This is the second to last scene
He was basically in heaven all the time and never new till the end
Life is all memory
