1 year anniversary here brother. Had a cerebellum stroke, 1/3 of my right side cerebellum died due a blood clot, which specialists believe came up due a heart birth condition called PFO. I had to learn how to walk again, how to have balance again, how to control vertigo by basically standing. For us survivors, it's like being born again, everything changes, the relationship with death and being alive changes. We are awake now. Trust me, you are the best version of yourself now. Great videos, keep the word up man, let's inspire people to wake-up for life again.
That is so inspirational and so incredibly admirable!! I’m 2 years stroke/AVM rupture (I was 23 when it happened), your posts/vids helps me so much, I just wanna say want to thank you!!! 🐢🧠💪
@@JillJanssen-b3y thank you so so much Jill! I knowJeremy‘s been working hard on that farm, which is also fantastic therapy and training 💪 Looking forward to starting up our private sessions again whenever he’s got the time 🙏
True inspiration, I hope to achieve what you have, I’m coming up to my 3yr anniversary, still no upper limb strength,I go to the gym to keep my right side strong, do you have a postsof getting down to and up from the floor? I still haven’t managed this yet! You look fantastic,I’m happy I found your inspiring channel 😊
I love your inspiration. I am 4 months out from a left side stroke. Partial paralysis and strange sensory sensation, numbness and pins & needles. Love your videos.
Congrats Kevin! Very inspiring. I have also been wondering if the neurons completely die in the affected area. There is likely scenario that either they come back to life or new neurons grow in affected area. There are a number of stroke survivors who fully recover in few months after a complete paralysis. The fast speed of recovery does indicate neurological activity in areas considered dead.
thanks Kevin i had my two year oct 11. i havent quit but working daily had set backs, including emergency hip replacement last may and sublux shoulder right after stroke. im determined to get a normal walk and bicep muscles/fingers back to type and handwrite and hold up a hoof to clean hoof and let go of it. glad i have always been athletic, very strong and disciplined. 63 now.
You are an inspiration. 9 months post stroke and need to rebuild my core and retrain for high sensitivity. Struggling emotionally, it's still early days for me.
Wow great job! My fiancé is 60 yrs old and had a massive stroke the end of June. He has no use of his right side, no short term memory and lots of nerve pain. Because of his memory and cognitive function issues we can’t get him to participate much at all in therapy, I’m afraid he’ll never improve. Any tips?
I love this Kevin congrats my friend happy celebration 🎉 Yeah it would be interesting to see your MRI now for the scientific community so they don't misinform the survivor s My Dr in rehab said I wouldn't get my hand and arm function back 😢I'm working hard to slowly getting muscle contraction back. It's little but it's something
@@MusongKim 💯 I’m going to speak with my rehab doctor about scheduling an MRI to see what exactly happens post TBI over the course of 15 years. Will keep you all posted!
@@KarenErasmus-i6o you got this 💪 Keep up any momentum you can and keep your eye on the prize. Most of all, be patient with yourself and you’ll continue to progress and persevere.
I just hit my 2 year mark. Hopefully I can get to this point one day. I had a massive bleed due to an AVM rupture. I currently have a personal trainer and workout at home. I have leg movement now and can walk but my arm is still flexed but it's a lot more loose now. In the beginning I was depressed and morning my old self, still do sometimes but a lot more motivated now.
You are an inspiration! I am curious to know if brain tissue can heal itself or if it always makes new neurological pathways. If you get an MRI please share the results.
It's taking me a long time but I'm walking now but not moving my left arm very high because of spasticity so baddo you have any suggestions for for me . And my foot ankle turns alot sometimes but walk with Afo brace
Hi Kevin I am a 17 month survivor of 4 strokes over a 2 week period. It took out my right side and a good portion of my eyesight and short term memory. I have fought back with weight training and have done well with getting back to some walking and hand functions as in writing. I have notice a sharp increase in the nerve pain in the last 3-4 months from head to toe. Question for you and anyone, did you go through a similar phase?
