1998 - 2002 Firebird Promotional Video From Pontiac- The meanest, sleekest, sexiest, most intimidating car ever designed. Actual horsepower was 350, the same as the Corvette. Both cars produce the same power to the rear wheels. (F-body actually averages slightly more, probably due to the live axle instead of IRS) The F-body has a slightly more restrictive exhaust while the Vette has a slightly more restrictive air intake. The engines are identical. IDENTICLE.
If this engine was rated the same way engines were in the 1960s, it would be rated at over 400 horsepower and by the standards of the muscle car years, it would not even be a performance engine. All specs are actually very mild, no different than a truck engine, yet it exceeded the performance of the most radical engines of "performance years" in every way measurable.
