Hi a couple questions, is there a way to test the electrode? Ours will work periodically, even tried cleaning the tip which helped. Also does the distance of the electrode to the burner tube matter? Say if the electrode is slightly bent and not perfectly straight
This was very helpful. My oven had an extra step, not in the video, which would be between 1:10 and 1:20 (removing some kind of heat plate/distributor). Otherwise everything else was the same. Thanks! (Whirlpool WEG515S0FS0)
My Whirlpool Oven Will Light, but only stay lit for 3-4 seconds. it turns off as soon as the bake spark Ignitor stops clicking. Model Number WFG374LVS1 I Tried changing the Spark Igniter : Part Number : w10324262 Oven Temp Probe : Part number : W10181986 The Only Part left to change is the Gas regulator Valve: Part number WPW10293048 But this gas Regulator is backordered and hard to find. Plus when I put it on broil, it works amazing. Its just bake that will not stay lit. What do I do now? Buy the Control Board?
My wire does not connect to the electrode the same way. It look like it connected by soldering and the heat shrink wrapped. I thought I would replace the wire with the connector wire. What size connector wire do I need?
hi I have a question A friend of mine has this problem oven does not work at all not broil igniter or oven igniter turn on any idea please what it could be thx Whirlpool Range/Stove/Oven Model WEG745H0FS0
I did this and even with the new electrode it still doesn’t spark. It clicks and I smell gas, but then it stops. What might the problem be, the valve? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Just replaced the oven electrode in my oven using this tutorial. It took about 10 minutes total and my oven is working again. Thanks!
Thank you for this! Saved me a ton of money!

Mine too. I am worried about the gas leaking doing it this way Pulling tube all the way off and just sliding back on). Was that a problem?
Thank You
My electrode is facing towards the right rather than left, this matches with my previous one but I’m confused as to how it even worked to begin with

How do you test these that have only one wire

Mines did the same
Ever figure it out? Thanks
Likely the spark module I would say
i think i do it without taking the whole tube out...
