From watching your video, I could see I need to have the burner base in place for it to ignite correctly - otherwise it would only click and spark. I did not have to call a repairman. Thank you so much!!! : )
This is awesome!!!! You helped me out soooo much after several months of trying different solutions. Thank you for taking the time to take us through your process. I look forward to more of your videos.
Thanks, mine would light sporadically. I made a couple adjustments with your advice and it lit 5 times in a row. Hopefully it stays going, if not I'll adjust a little more but now i know where to start.
Excellent! Thank you for watching! Mine has stayed working since the day I made this change. Its so nice when the burner lights right away (as it's designed to do so).
I would like to see the bottom part of the burner head cap because there was some stove model were the burner head cap don't was deep enough to make a good ground for the spark to jump because it need the correct gap to do it if the burner cap is not aligned in the right position it will be difficult to ignite, the problem is only in the large burner, the Wirlpool tech line was recommending the use of a burner cap for a different stove model I can't remember at this moment the part number but I saw a lot of this stove having this problem, some of this tech line technitians were recommending file up a deep channel in the ignition chamber but it doesn't work, so the solution was the replacement of the burner head cap.
Mines is brand new. My oven lites great. But none of my buners won't even make the click sound. I have to put fire to them to lite. Someone please help
Very well said Brian, very easy to understand. I appreciate your educated background and wisdom

Excellent! I'm glad you got it yourself and did not have to pay $$$ for repair.
Totally worked on my whirlpool gold series.
I just took up the slack to the outside of the igniter’s sloppy fitment. No tools needed Thanks!
Excellent report!! Thank you. I'm glad it worked.
Thank you. That tip fixed my issue. Wasted lot of time trying to get the burner to light.

I how do you remove the top cap? Does it screw on?
Hello. Thank you for watching. On my stove, the top cap is cast iron and simply lifts off. There are no fasteners of any kind.
@@bryanh1944FBH mine are all stuck on, in my trailer. That’s why I wondered it they screwed on?
Thank you
