I love this movie and this song, but no, the myth about Toriyama being inspired by this song isnt true

The DBS manga and anime explained it a bit more in depth, but without Frieza, the Frieza force was RAPIDLY losing its power and position as the primary military organization in the universe. Factions such as the Heeters and the galactic patrol were more comfortable expanding their reign without frieza, and thus destroying what was left of the frieza force's power. The Frieza Force chose to revive frieza because he is the only one who can mantain stability and power for the frieza force. In the DBS manga, members of the Frieza force found a Super Dragon Ball in space, and were planning on finding all of them to revive frieza. However, this plot was cut short when Lord Champa was looking for the Super Dragon Balls himself, and destroyed all the frieza force members who had found one of them. This forced the remaining of the frieza force to go to Earth to look for the dragon balls because they knew of no other planet with dragon balls after Goku moved planet namek.
Normally I would've just overlooked the frog as a random alien but then I remembered Chrono Trigger was written by Toriyama and the art style was based off Dragon Ball so it's 100% certain that the frog is actually a reference to the actual character and I love it.

The best part for us Freiza fans is that this is the first time we get our true emperor back after all the embarrassment from movies (Fusion Reborn) and pointless moments in filler (Super 17 Arc in GT).

He really is such a fun and endearing villain, and I think the little bit of humor they added to his character in the Broly movie just made me love him even more. Plus, it was great that Kamesein, Kuririn and Tenshihan got to fight again.

Frieza could be given so much potential as shown. He only trained for 6 months and gained such a power. What would happen if he keeps on training for one year. He could easily gain power of a destroyer. And the destroyer role fits best for Frieza.
