I used to speedrun this when my online partners would quit. Almost everything on this video I did to get through quick. Bonus points if you get no damage and weaponless...great run. But the crows on the roof are not easy to run. And the streets of zombies.
Considering Kevin's story is the official canon timeline. I'm surprised they didn't bring him back in other Resi games. Hell Resident Evil 4 would feel less infuriating if he was Leon's partner backing him up to save the president's daughter.

Some notes for anybody playing this scenario: -Everyone except for Yoko will start off in the bar. If playing as Yoko, you will start off in the women's bathroom -On Hard and Very Hard mode, if you escort Bob to the roof, he becomes a zombie and attacks. This does not happen in Easy, Normal, or Lone Wolf mode -In the North American version, if you ad-lib while playing as Alyssa, the game will freeze and you will be forced to reset the console. This does not happen in the PAL versions of the game or on Lone Wolf mode -To get more completion points for the events checklist, you must die when setting fire to the ground by not jumping into the water canal. It will instantly kill you and result in a game over but you will still receive completion points for doing so -There is a small chance that a bottle of liquor will fall to the ground in the Liquor Room, you will hear a woman screaming in the Owner's Room or in front of J's Bar, OR you will see a crow fly into the Drawing Room. There is no way to trigger these and will randomly happen. They will give you additional points -There is graffiti that you can read with the use of a Lighter. Reading and finding all 5 pieces of graffiti will reward you with a Spear weapon. While slow, it can either knock down or even kill zombies. It lasts for 10 hits before it turns into a wooden pole.

If they had waited a few more years for online multiplayer to evolve a bit these probably would have been the most amazing online RE experience. I doubt they’ll ever get a remaster anytime soon, but if capcom really wanted to “wow” classic RE fans they’d: combine outbreak 1 and 2, add that next gen sheen to it, use modern online features (I.e. voice/party chat), and occasionally added new sets of campaigns and characters. I’d buy it, and I’d buy my mom and sister a copy too. I mean, what other game do you get to tame a zombie elephant with circus music!? I digress. Like if you want an outbreak remake!!
This still remains a personal favorite RE game. In hard and very hard, you really got that feeling of desperation and struggle; the only issue being a lack of clearcut teamwork (beyond the intro chatroom where you discussed strategy). The only issue I had at the time was a lack of spectator mode....but it was on PS2 and online gaming for consoles was still developing. Still, I would've liked to have seen where the hell my co-operatives were when I was being eaten by a zombie elephant or struggling to kick a tyrant in the balls as Kevin.
This series had the best opening for the entire franchise. File 1 and file 2 are my favorites of the franchise. Remember when it first came out, I spent at least a year and a half straight playing this game practically every day, had my name on the leader boards and the same friends playing day in, day out. My first foray into online gaming and my fondest. If only games were like this still. No headsets, just pre planning and unexpected surprises

Been a RE fan for a long time now, but I haven't get to play this game up until now. I've installed it on my PC (PCX2 emulator), plugged in my PS4 gamepad and started playing. I don't feel any real RE-vibe from it, it feels like playing some different game. I don't know, maybe I haven't played it that much yet.

It’s quite the classic. It was the first RE I played that had you doing inventory use in real time. Quite intimidating compared to the newer games.
