I would recommend just a small rolled, yes like the one you would paint a wall with. I have tried a few different ones and would not recommend the foam ones, they seem to stick and not work as well.
Those are beautiful, I want to try to do this but i think i'm going to have to watch this again. those are very professional looking. Thanks for sharing.. Do you have a video that tells more detail? Thanks again
Yay, you should totally try is Sarah. If I can do it, anyone can. I have another sign video I did a while ago that has a little simpler frame and may have the detail you're looking for. Please let me know if you have any more questions and I'd love to hear how your signs turn out. ua-cam.com/video/-F45hIZEZNo/v-deo.html
Good looking frames. I also make the double frames but do it different. I use regular farmhouse frames than I put the inside part on after I brad the outside frames.
Great question Jessica. I learned a lot since making these. Definitely use a poly or some clear finish. I didn’t on some of mine and they don’t keep that fresh clean look. I now use a spray on polyurethane on all my signs.
I love the inlays. Great work x
Thanks 😊
I like the idea of homemade things with a personal touch. The possibilities are endless! Great job!
I love the framing you did on your signs. Very nice! I can’t wait to be as good as you are at making signs.
Thanks Jennifer, I’m sure you’re as good as me already. I still occasionally stick a nail through wrong and have to patch it. 🤣
They are georgous! Did you sand the sign before painting? Or was your plywood already smooth?
Great question. I don't normally sand because I buy really smooth plywood.
what kind of roller are you using? Is it just a regular small roller you'd use on drywall?

Great job you should sell signs perfect
Thank you 😊
These look so nice! Do you ever use a finisher after you paint on the sign like polycrylic ?

Love your lessons. I need them so bad
You're welcome, now you will be unstoppable 😊
Love it!! Thanks for the video
