Titan, moon of Saturn. It is a very lively looking place with methane lakes. So what would happened if it were to become a moon of Earth? Watch the video to find out.
Intro and outro footage made Space Engine.

Titan is the most interesting moon in our entire solar system. (In my opinion :) )
BasedAustrian Luna is interesting in my opinion and Io.
It'sRairryMaddie ! Luna is very pretty, but I don't particularly find it interesting. It has no atmosphere, no bodies of liquid, no geologic activity. It's basically a dead world.
BasedAustrian Titan is definitely the most interesting to me. After Titan would come Triton, Europa, Enceladus, and Io.
TryHardSoviet Still NASA don't know what still on there.
It'sRairryMaddie ! Sorry to disappoint you, but there is nothing on Luna of any interest. If there was, then NASA, the ESA, or another scientific body would've verified this by now. Perhaps there are still some mysteries about the moon, sure. But don't get your hopes up of finding anything interesting like life. Don't get me wrong, I love our moon, but I just don't particularly find it as interesting as some other places in our solar system
If Titan was a moon of Earth. Then people would accually care about space travel

After the sun enters it's red giant phase Titan would be the best place in the Solar System for life, Europa and Ganymede also have ice that could melt into an ocean and support life

What did you think, you need a certain "accent" to speak English?
There are tons of English accent

What if Jupiter was in the Habitable Zone, and all the terrestrial planets became its moons?
Luigicat11 I’m with you. What would the Earth be like if it was a moon of Jupiter in the Habitable Zone? Having the gravity and radiation of the Sun and Jupiter so close should have some interesting effects on everything in the Solar System.

@@grgmck77 The habitable zone with gas planets and their moons is likely further from the sun or other star than the habitable zone for terrestrial planets. Simply because heat would be coming from more sources.

I loooooove your channel man! Since 2 months, O have a strange obsession with any kind of planets. I sit there reading and watching videos about planets and feel a feeling I cannot describe. So strange and unreal and SCARED, planets make me so uneasy but I see so much beauty in them! Your channel gives me everything that I need, but I cant5 eatch it at night because it seriously scares me 😌❤️
I hope after all these years you're still interested in the craziness that is our universe! This guy's videos honestly blow me away, and I love it because I'm writing a book about space colonization but it's more about Venus than anything else in the solar system.
Do a video about Silicon based life or Other life that could use ammonia instead of water.
While it is a wonderful topic for discussion, what I know about chemistry makes ammonia based life unlikely.
One of the characteristics of chemistry is that some materials are water soluble and some aren't. Those which are, are polar; they have a North and South. Using ammonia as the universal solvent means that polar molecules won't be dissolved, but non-polar ones, the ones that water does *not* dissolve, would be dissolved in the ammonia.
That leads to the problem of electrical conductance. Ammonia based, non-polar compounds don't conduct electricity where water based polar ones do. Without electrical conductivity, there's no neural pathway action.
As far as carbon and silicon go, the big characteristic about carbon is its way of forming carbonic rings. This is a characteristic that silicon doesn't have. Again, as I understand chemistry, it's these ring structures that make long, data packed strings (DNA) possible.
While it is hypothetically possible that silicon and ammonia can be used by life *very* different from us, the odds aren't good.
Still, if you like science fiction the way I do, it's still a wonderful idea for trying to imagine what sort of magnificent life may be out there.
Jeff Anderson Ammonia is polar.
I like silicon so I like this idea.
This guy makes videos about questions I didn't know I had and presents it so well. Subbed!!!

What if Earth was in the TRAPPIST-1 Star System in the habitable zone?
TheOldStar YES!!! That is what I've always wanted to see.
Or, if earth became a moon of Proxima B
The trappist-1 star systems doesnt have kinda habitable zone because if you are in the zone where the tempature would be 1-30 avrg the radiation would kill you in hours if not in minutes
eitsu_ yeah then if we move away to the habitable zone we will survive
With the same distance? The Earth would freeze in a couple of months.
Thanks for uploading
Incredible channel! Thanks for posting. 👍👍👍
This channel deserves WAY more subscribers.. I don't know how people did not find out about this channel yet..

This channel is amazing man! You should have way more subs!
do a video where all the planets replace earth and see what differences the planets would have🙏🏼?
Mars and Venus locations would be cool cause they're still in the goldilocks zone and would have a decent enough climate. Would make space travel much more viable.
Drew Berry very true:) , i just really want this video to happen😩
Bright Side has already made a video on that. It's awesome!!3

Titan is no doubt the Future of Humanity for many reasons :
- A Likely candidate for an Earth-like Planet
- Holds vast reservoirs of Methane
- Ideal distance to setup a Frontier to explore Interstellar Space

Pretty interesting questions about Titan ! ;)
Where u get all ur graphics from brother?
Something of interest...I've ran a few simulations in Universe Sandbox2 and each time, there was a Luna-Titan collision.
Your videos are awesome! Need more attention to this channel!
Nice video!
I would venture to say that the landscape on Titan wouldn't be very picturesque. It would most likely be entirely covered with water, making it a waterworld. We could have floating colonies, though. I wonder what the composition of the atmosphere would be.
you know those people that say "we shouldnt care about space travel when we could care about earth" and subsequently use a car more than any of us and never put any effort into saving the environment.
I agree.
I love these videos! I just hope to be alive when the first man/woman walks on Mars.
Cool video. I agree with nearly everything in it. The effects of this on earth and our moon would also be interesting. Increased tidal influence could make the Moon geologically active again becoming similar to Io. Io creates a ring of sulfur around Jupiter, however, due to the stronger solar wind, it's questionable if earth would have the same effect. Titan may increase tectonic activity on earth making Tokyo, Santiago and LA proned to more earthquakes. Titan's reflecticvity is much higher than the Moon's. The sky from earth during a full Titan would probably still have some color at night. Plants may be able to grow as well. So the farmers would be happy. Depending on how long Titan retains a thick atmosphere, there could be evolutionary effects on nocturnal animals especially concerning sight.
You make great animations. I have a request, doubt you will be interested but its something i have been thinking about for a while.
What would the earth look like if Africa was the south pole, Pacific at the northpole (and the earth axis as well), Antarctica, and the spine of mountains of the Americas near the equator?
I seen a map of the moon's path over the earth once and wondered if those ranges could have been created by the moons pull (if they were near the equator, under the moons path, rather than simply tectonics) because the path is similar to the wavy path of those ranges. (This might also cool the earth because one of the hottest regions would have some of the highest elevations, and likely a healthier planet with lush rainforests on all this land around the equator)
If Antartica was at the equator, much of the pacific frozen and much of the world's water also trapped on a continent the size of Africa, sea levels would be pbly hundreds of feet lower... just curious what that might look like... inspired by stories of Atlantis. Antarctica in this geographical scenario might be nearly connected to every major continent by land bridges... Just thought it would be cool to actually see it.
i like how he runs out of breath
yeh it will be intresting
Titan is the only celestial body in the solar system with similar surface atmospheric pressure to Earth.
Although it’s frigid and the atmosphere is unbreathable to humans, colonists would not explode without a pressurized suit.
If enceladus became our moon
"Hey dude where you at right now"
"Oh you know just visiting my grandma on titan"
"Oh cool so when coming back to earth"
"In about a year or so"
"Oh cool"
"Cool"
This is an underrated comment that deserved more likes
What if Luna had a substantial atmosphere? That would be cool!
Nice Video!
Can you make a video how our sky would look like if UY Scuti would be at the spot of Alpha Centauri? Would it be like full Moon like every night? How would it affect temperature on Earth / Mars?
Aww man I was expecting a space engine model
Thanos will NOT tolerate this! This speculation might offend him 😓

But if it's atmosphere changed and it had liquid water on it, would we be able to breathe on it since it needs a certain amount of oxygen and CO on it with other factors added in?
Amazing video. What's the background music called?
hey man, you should check out Universe Sandbox 2. It lets you simulate things like our solar system, galaxy, black holes, etc on the computer. What makes it most fun is that you can experiment what would happen. You can literally put Titan as the moon of the earth and observe the changes on Titan, Earth and the rest of the solar system. You can throw Mars on Jupiter, make 2 galaxies combine, turn sun into a black hole. The possibilites are endless, and its also good video content for you as you have knowledge about this stuff. It would be helpful to visualise it and see how it unfolds. Cheers mate :D
The next video you should do is what if mercury became a moon of earth
I know that this idea will not work even from not thinking about what would happen but it’s a pretty cool idea
What if we sent a whole load of rockets to Titan or a nearby surfaced space object then turn them upside down so the engine is facing to the sky then the rockets will fire and we can push the planet or moon a tiny amount
All that methane in Titan's atmosphere would probably give it really high daytime temperatures through intense greenhouse effect.
THAT WOULD BE COOL
How about doing a video about Jupiter's other big moons? You did a great job with the Europa video. So why not discuss what would happen if they became moons of Earth?
Ticc atmosphere 😆
The heavier the chain (the more carbons per molecule) the higher the temp is required to boil. So methane boils at a lower temp than ethane.
nice video my g
Titan has more than just water ice on its surface its so cold where it is that nitrogen and oxegen both become solid so as it heats it could create an atmosphere simmlilar in composition to earth's
Not to mention, we will no longer face the "running out of natural gas" dilemma since Titan basically has lakes of actual natural gas lol! We will have enough gas to never run out or I'd say more accurately...have enough gas and oil for millenniums to come
It will take more energy to transport it to earth than we'd get from the gas.
Katie Katie unless by that time we find a cost efficient way to get it here;)
Russia has enormous amount of gas.
All the methane would have been gasified if titan became earth's moon because of the sun's heat. If we can't harness the methane in earth's atmosphere I doubt we'd be able to in Titan.
Love Your Voice, Sould Be A Professional Narrator
If Titan were a moon of Earth that would be pretty tight.
You forgot one thing man, Titan has thick Methane atmosphere, which is a super green house gas that is 20 times stronger than CO2, so getting an orbit around the Earth would probably make Titan similar to Venus' environment--unhabitable
Our moon having a thicker atmosphere!? Imagine
On a hot day, nothing like taking a nice dip in methane to cool you off!
Do if earth and the sun switched places!
Yep
Kat YT Oh I remember that old Theory and how did they prove that to people?
Kat YT Cause You know everyone believe that theory in that century.
Yep
you mean if the sun orbited around earth?
You didn't say anything about it's atmosphere chemistry... Once all the methane/ethane was gone, would it carry any oxygen to possibly use and convert to easy to use breathing apparatus or maybe even some disposable filter!? I am assuming there would be some chemicals that would be some what toxic but with liquid water O² would be abundant enough to utilize while exploring and possibly make a base there... Would love to know if we have any chemist/physics/astronomers qualified to give there and educated guess/assumption... I know these hypothetical ideas can't be nailed down 100% but would love to hear from someone qualified to have an idea about this!?!? Thx for the video! Great work!
Dreksel I love the music is it from a soundtrack?
The into music is used by Bedtime Stories. Awesome channel.
