@@grgmck77 The habitable zone with gas planets and their moons is likely further from the sun or other star than the habitable zone for terrestrial planets. Simply because heat would be coming from more sources.

While it is a wonderful topic for discussion, what I know about chemistry makes ammonia based life unlikely. One of the characteristics of chemistry is that some materials are water soluble and some aren't. Those which are, are polar; they have a North and South. Using ammonia as the universal solvent means that polar molecules won't be dissolved, but non-polar ones, the ones that water does *not* dissolve, would be dissolved in the ammonia. That leads to the problem of electrical conductance. Ammonia based, non-polar compounds don't conduct electricity where water based polar ones do. Without electrical conductivity, there's no neural pathway action. As far as carbon and silicon go, the big characteristic about carbon is its way of forming carbonic rings. This is a characteristic that silicon doesn't have. Again, as I understand chemistry, it's these ring structures that make long, data packed strings (DNA) possible. While it is hypothetically possible that silicon and ammonia can be used by life *very* different from us, the odds aren't good. Still, if you like science fiction the way I do, it's still a wonderful idea for trying to imagine what sort of magnificent life may be out there.
The trappist-1 star systems doesnt have kinda habitable zone because if you are in the zone where the tempature would be 1-30 avrg the radiation would kill you in hours if not in minutes
Mars and Venus locations would be cool cause they're still in the goldilocks zone and would have a decent enough climate. Would make space travel much more viable.
Titan is no doubt the Future of Humanity for many reasons : - A Likely candidate for an Earth-like Planet - Holds vast reservoirs of Methane - Ideal distance to setup a Frontier to explore Interstellar Space
you know those people that say "we shouldnt care about space travel when we could care about earth" and subsequently use a car more than any of us and never put any effort into saving the environment.
What youre forgetting is the fact that if the methane lakes start evaporaiting into gas the entire atmosphere would become filled with methane as a greenhouse gas which would rise the temperature even more when it gets closer to earth's orbit to the sun.
+Cameron Wilson There would be a sky, for at least few seconds before that what you described happened. I want to know how the sky would look like. Answer me.
I would venture to say that the landscape on Titan wouldn't be very picturesque. It would most likely be entirely covered with water, making it a waterworld. We could have floating colonies, though. I wonder what the composition of the atmosphere would be.
You forgot one thing man, Titan has thick Methane atmosphere, which is a super green house gas that is 20 times stronger than CO2, so getting an orbit around the Earth would probably make Titan similar to Venus' environment--unhabitable

Not to mention, we will no longer face the "running out of natural gas" dilemma since Titan basically has lakes of actual natural gas lol! We will have enough gas to never run out or I'd say more accurately...have enough gas and oil for millenniums to come
All the methane would have been gasified if titan became earth's moon because of the sun's heat. If we can't harness the methane in earth's atmosphere I doubt we'd be able to in Titan.
Titan has more than just water ice on its surface its so cold where it is that nitrogen and oxegen both become solid so as it heats it could create an atmosphere simmlilar in composition to earth's
There’d also be highly increased volcanic activity on earth because the moon’s tidal forces are what keep Earth volcanically active, so two moons would multiply that.
Titan is the only celestial body in the solar system with similar surface atmospheric pressure to Earth. Although it’s frigid and the atmosphere is unbreathable to humans, colonists would not explode without a pressurized suit.
Even if Titan orbited around the Earth, it would never be habitable, and this for one simple reason: it does not have a protective magnetosphere. Without it, the solar wind would have already removed the atmosphere millions of years ago, and liquid water would have disappeared with the atmosphere. Titan would therefore be a desert devoid of water and life, with a very rarefied atmosphere, and a surface invested in full by solar radiation, like Mars. The only difference is that compared to Mars, it would be warmer, but it would not be enough to support life.

Hey! This just gave me an idea. We need to bring in moons to colonize then send them back to their home planets once colonized, then repeat, and soon the Universe will be OURS!! Harharhahahr!!!
The problem is: changing a planet's position is impossible. You would probably need an absolutely massive wormhole, and on top of that, you would need to be able to control the wormhole's location, as well as making sure it doesn't disrupt anything else.
I know that this idea will not work even from not thinking about what would happen but it’s a pretty cool idea What if we sent a whole load of rockets to Titan or a nearby surfaced space object then turn them upside down so the engine is facing to the sky then the rockets will fire and we can push the planet or moon a tiny amount
