Do it! It expands your brewing knowledge and also, unlike mega hoppy styles you don’t need to get through it quickly as it generally gets better with age
A, and Secondly. Absolutely love it! Fantastic video Definitely going to have to try the NBS Clarity. I always struggle with hazy looking lager and the gluten free element is a bonus!
It basically means you add the hops as soon as you finish the mash/sparge and are left with the "wort" vs waiting for the wort to reach the boil before adding hops. Whether or not it makes a difference is debatable, google "first wort vs boil"
Hi rob, hope you’re well. Hey i bought this kit for my mrs to do as her first solo brew 😋 I’ve given her my now redundant G30. For a 23 ltr batch how much of the fan max would you suggest adding? 2 tea spoons maybe? Cheers dude, keep up the good work 👍🏻
Hey James, all good thanks;) follow the instruction and double it. Also, I fermented at 30c but next time I will try 20c, I am sure it will be cleaner.
@@themaltmiller8438 cheers for that. I’m trying to give her a bit of help but i know she’s already on it. I think she was aiming for the lower 20’s anyways as she’s watched you vide. Glad all is well thank you for helping out 👍🏻

New Video! A delectabl dish that you made. Amazing recipe! I like the cooking sets you have. Good going!
Brilliant vid, brilliant company. Looking forward to seeing the finished beer!!
Great idea!!!
Great vid Rob. Have been brewing for 13 yrs and have never brewed a lager! Maybe it’s time…

It’s a great thing to have at the ready if you want to get good clarity with the added bonus of GF! 👍🏻🍻
A beer that I’ve always wanted to try and brew. I’ve gone completely off lagers! But, i reckon I’ll try this one out.
@The Malt Miller I have ordered this kit today. I can pressure ferment, what pressure if any would you recommend with this one. Steve
Hi. Excellent video! You mentioned a first wort hop addition. I've heard this phrase before. Does that mean adding the hops before the hot break?

Yes, we add them after sparge. It can help reduce the chance of boil overs in our experience

@@themaltmiller8438 absolutely I’ll ask her she can help in anyway. Sounds good
Sorry, new to this - i thought you had to ferment Lager under pressure? But, you can't do that in the Grainfather fermenter, can you?
Hey buddy! No you don’t have to ferment lager under pressure, if you do though you will see a much faster fermentation with traditional lager yeast.
@@themaltmiller8438 awesome thanks 🍻
Hi MM
Just wondering what sought of water profile you aimed for on this beer?
We used our water report from Murphy and Sons and aimed for the lager profile they suggested as part of the report
@@themaltmiller8438 Any chance of knowing the numbers?
I can't find your part 2 which is sad.
It will be out in a few weeks once the beer is fermented and ready to drink. Make sure you hit the bell so you when it’s out! 👍🏻🍻
