    I have a Black Max air compressor (B165B500-25) it was working fine but now it wont start. It is getting power but wont start. What could the problem be ?

    Thank you for the video. It did a great job teaching me how to use a good meter to check for various problems. One minor point. At about the 5:40 mark you said "there is a "u" there." That is a lowercase greek letter mu, used for micro.

    The start capacitor doesn't "charge up" to give the motor an "extra jolt". It changes the phase of the current flowing to the armature winding, which gives a push to the armature, to start it moving. Once the motor is up to speed, a centrifugal switch takes the start capacitor out of the circuit.

    The points in the switch have been an issue for me as well.

    Mine worked 2x and quit no humm nothing ..no reset switch that I can find

    Kind of hard to hear you. Voice to back ground noise about equal. Voice or mic needs to be turned up
