The wedding bells are magical, if you and Charlie get married in that beautiful church I can imagine that every time you hear the wedding bells it would remind you of your own wedding, how wonderful!

Hi you are absolutely beautiful your dresses are stunning. I’m 66 and I always stayed clear of dresses ( I don’t really know why) but this year I’m embracing them I got quite a few and I’m absolutely loving them. Just wish the weather would warm up a bit. Lovely vlog as always .

I ate my first home grown cucumber yesterday!! I couldn’t believe how quickly it grew I was sending picture updates to my family everyday because I was so amazed lol and of course it was the most delicious cucumber ever. Thanks to you for inspiring me to finally plant my veggie garden :)

Josie, your garden is so beautiful and so bountiful!! So very proud of you. I refused to have a vegetable garden this year, but God had other plans. I used my household vegetable waste as compost and my goodness I have melons, cucumbers, squash, zucchini and about 20 tomato plants growing ion my flower garden and they are HUGE. My flowers don't seem to mind sharing their space.

The reel that you produced at the flower fields is amazing!! One of the best reels I've ever seen 😍 Your garden is always looking lovely. With the broad beans I look be to do a quick salad...broad beans, tomatoes, onion or spring onions, lots of mint, feta cheese, fresh ground pepper, green peppers, drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of salt, a pinch of dried oregano and some balsamic vinegar. Tossle everything together...lovely to eat as a side with any meat - white or red, or with fresh bread. If the latter put some oil on the bread slices first and enjoy...yum yum 😋

Bean pod ideas…. make a stock. Cover them in water in large pan, bring to the boil & simmer for 15 mins. This stock is a good base for making soup or risotto. You can freeze it once cooled, try using ice cube trays 😊
Or…..Bean pod stew. Fry some onions & garlic, add a tomato sauce/passata, bean pods & herbs & simmer until tender. 😋The younger the pods the better as old ones can get stringy. Let us know if you try it! 🐾🐾

Hi Josie. You can boil up the broad bean pods in water and make a stock or make fritters. The problem is that the older they get,the tougher and more stringy they become. They do make great compost too. You’ve done so well in your veg and flower garden and I share your excitement in watching them grow from seed and then being able to use them in a delicious meal or salad. When are you saying “goodbye” to your greenhouse? It will be a sad day when it comes down but hopefully,you’ll replace it with a bigger one for next year as you’ve definitely got green fingers !BTW, I really love the colour of the By Terry ‘Nudissimo’ on you- it suits you perfectly! 💖🌸🌷

Your gardening year is not over yet Josie, if you want veggies for Charlie to cook for Christmas lunch to make it extra special, start off your potatoes, parsnips, more carrots etc., in July and August, maybe even later for your zone, if you start the seeding now, for some things, you can get them in after you have harvested, some things you can start direct sowing for a winter harvest too. Xx

I loved watching this vlog/video! Absolutely beautiful! We’ve been enjoying my blackberries, cherry tomatoes, we are growing watermelons, right now they are the size of baseballs!! I have green onions, basil, cilantro, jalapeños, yellow hots, green grapes, peaches and cantaloupes, which are only flowering right now. Not to mention the many rose bushes, different trees, etc. we also have a peony however no blooms, which I read sometimes it takes a few years for blooms, just like it did with our Wisteria. For a few days now, we gotten beautiful rains, much needed, it’s been in the upper 90’ to low 100’

My mum used to always cook the jackets together with the beans in a stew. It was usually with young beans, though, when they're still small in the jacket, she didn't take them out. I hated it as a child but it's a very popular stew where I come from. It's a bit like okra, with some carrots, maybe some peas, onions...

Dear Josie, I hope you have a huge freezer, because every pea and similar durable vegetables you only need to clean from dirt, cut them how you like or not, and freeze to have for winter days, we used to live in Bosnia and have too much vegetables and fruits from the garden (a house of 3 and family around, yet too much to eat in summer season all at once), so we called it winter preparations and than you don't think about buying food in winter or throwing food in summer (if in need, try buying second hand or new freezer huge box, you'll be thankful in a few years, remember to write dates or summer years of things you'll be freezing).. As for the bean casings, you can boil them for stock, you can sauté them into anything you would add beans to, or you can remove the stringy part and have them in a salad. Though I would love to see them in a risotto to add a refreshing element

The fresh beans are of course entirely edible, in stew and other dishes in sauce.
Very common in North African recipes. I prepare them whole, without peeling them (juste cutting of the ends), stewed in a dish in sauce, with meat or chicken, with tomatoes, sliced onions, paprika, salt, pepper, cover with a little water to having a dish in sauce, it is an old Algerian recipe from Algiers and it is really delicious.
Also an easy recipe to prepare in your Thermomix !
