Objection, Jinx is still great in League just in a different way. The others I can agree with tho, like if they made Vi more visually resemble her Arcane design I think nobody would complain
It should be said that LoL have never tried to be particularly deep or profound. LoL has always been cartoonish and straightforward and I think people forget that that is not a bad thing. Not everything needs to be super developed and thought out, it's ok to just be simple and fun. And before people rip into me, that's not a critique about Arcane it's just saying that neither is better than the other. LoL is cartoonish and slapsticky, never bothering to be more than zany. Arcane is a serious take on those characters, with depth and fleshed-out character motivations that tries real hard. Both are good, it's just their intentions that differ.
I mean the world and lore of the universe are very fleshed out and very interesting, characters do have interesting lore and backstory in the verse too but they don’t all go super in-depth or are always so deep so I think they underrated tbh
You're right! Nothing wrong with just being silly, games are supposed to be fun afterall, however I do personally prefer deeper worldbuilding and character depth. I think it's an immersion thing for me, it's fun with and without but I think worldbuilding is what turns a great game into an amazing one.
Modern Harley Quinn was heavily influenced by Jeanette Voerman from Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (even Arkham games referenced her) which predated League of Legends. Character-wise Jinx is obviously inspired by Harley Quinn.
I think they were talking about the patterns. If you look at the OG Harley Quinn design, the “checkers” sort of look. And if you read the comics, where Harley hasn’t been in her OG costume for a while, and sported black and red hair more than the blue and pink (black and red fits her character more ngl) but she also wore a lot of skimpy clothing very similar to jinx because…you know…men designing women and all that. Comics are fun! I love them!
@@stabbycat748 thank god men are designing women then lol. I guarantee that if a woman did the exact same design you would not say one thing, but of course you want to complain about it here.... there is no problem with female characters being sexy
never read Jayces background story in lol. I just heard the quotes "For a brighter tomorrow" and stuff and just saw him as an idealist and inventor. And that's it. I am quite happy that Fortiche took this basic core of his character and let it face the harsh realities of his world and slowly learn how to come to terms with it without losing his hopes and dreams.
I do wonder if we're going to see a proper in-game version of the characters in S2. Like I'm pretty sure we're going to see them in their game designs at least.

LOL Vi was too hamfisted with the whole cool shaved hair tough girl persona. In Arcane, she's still has a tough way about her, but that's because she's angry at the topsiders. She channels that anger into something productive, like being a leader to her siblings while still being impatient and short tempered. LOL Jinx’s insanity made her a knock off Harley Quinn with no real rhyme or reason behind it other than for the manic pixie dream girl trope. In Arcane, they channel that insanity into something actually tangible. A trauma response to all the death and violence she's seen since childhood. Not to mention Vi's outburst and abandonment.
@mjw2002mjw Well, the alternative was that Caitlyn and her team go after Jinx with extreme prejudice. At least with Vi on the team, they can mitigate some of the damage to come. Design wise, she's getting closer to her LOL counterpart. But that's really it.

@@matheusrubimdepaoli5409 Because they hate stuff that dosent "relate" (reflect) them...
@@adamjanczewski6652 every time I see someone complaining about a character being sexy I just assume these people are jealous of a fictional character bc this is a non issue. @@matheusrubimdepaoli5409 assuming women jealous on vi lol design is crazy bro, most ppl including women prefer arcane vi more cuz she is moree attractive+moree realistic body we find her hot instead of lol vi that obviously centered for men and of course sexualized that's why most ppl dislike lol vi design.
The absolute whiplash of being introduced to these characters from arcane and then looking at their LoL designs is crazy.
Ekko in Arcane: PERFECT
Ekko in League: PERFECT but with 2015 pixels
Can’t wait for viktor singed ww heimer
Objection, Jinx is still great in League just in a different way. The others I can agree with tho, like if they made Vi more visually resemble her Arcane design I think nobody would complain
Jayce is gonna be very different after season 2 now😂
LMFAO THE RANDOMLY PUTTED HOMELANDER IN HERE AHAHA
Jayce is slowly turning into that in Season 2
No he isn't
"Cares about Viktor" sure aged well
Bro the finale already came out. Why did u say this?
@michaelarias3310 look at the time when I posted this
@@michaelarias3310that too aged well is all
It should be said that LoL have never tried to be particularly deep or profound.
That being said, Homelander slowly fading in is comedy gold
I mean the world and lore of the universe are very fleshed out and very interesting, characters do have interesting lore and backstory in the verse too but they don’t all go super in-depth or are always so deep so I think they underrated tbh
You're right! Nothing wrong with just being silly, games are supposed to be fun afterall, however I do personally prefer deeper worldbuilding and character depth. I think it's an immersion thing for me, it's fun with and without but I think worldbuilding is what turns a great game into an amazing one.
Jinx design came before modern pink n blue Harley Quinn, so if anything, modern Harley Quinn is a bootleg Jinx
@@matheusrubimdepaoli5409 chill
LoL Jinx and Harley get too much shit tbh
Homelander had me pissing myself I was so caught off guard LMAOI
Jayce : Cares about Viktor.....
I have some terrible news for ya
Yeah. He still cares about him
obviously he cares for him, they had interdimensional gay sex or whatever the fuck that was
MAN EXACTLY about jayce, I swear I couldn't explain it to my ex, wish I had this clip XD
Jayce after you watch S2E6...
Still saved everyone
@michaelarias3310 True. After episodes 7-9 came out I understand Jayce now.
In League they were archetypes, in Arcane they're human beings
never read Jayces background story in lol. I just heard the quotes "For a brighter tomorrow" and stuff and just saw him as an idealist and inventor. And that's it. I am quite happy that Fortiche took this basic core of his character and let it face the harsh realities of his world and slowly learn how to come to terms with it without losing his hopes and dreams.
almost pissed from the lol jayce explanation lmao
"unable to control her insanity"

I tried playing LoL after watching arcane and kept getting whiplash after whiplash when i saw the characters 💀
I do wonder if we're going to see a proper in-game version of the characters in S2. Like I'm pretty sure we're going to see them in their game designs at least.
This is why it's so funny when arcane watchers come to League for the first time. Like, don't meet your heroes. Or champions, I mean.
0:49 what did he do?
Old lore jayce has a main character complex and will never admit he’s wrong or try to see other sides of a story
@@LyionOfRosesold? When did they change anything?
@@azazel8700 they reboot the world back in 2014 . we kinda got new lore with champion releases like Camile and Renata but Arcane kinda makes things shaky. which is why whether its cannon or not is important.
IIRC it was more Tony Stark than Homelander.

As of last week the homelander is starting to make more sense in both game and arcane 💀
As of this week. Not anymore
@michaelarias3310 indeed as of this week all I can say it 👏👏👏
Ok the end got me so good I still laughing it’s been multiple minutes
The Jayce one aged well
Yeah it did. He's still a good person
The lol designs look like those bad AliExpress Hazbin hotel plushies💀
Rammus in Arcane: _Not in Arcane_ ok.
Rammus in LoL: *ok.*
Riot when they realize Rammus still exists: ok....
Jinx in Arcane: Joker
Jinx in LoL: Harley Quinn
Jayce being homelander made me spit my food .. thank you 🙏 😂
To be fair, after act 2, i think we're getting pretty close to that version of Jayce
No we aren't
This needs an update.
Jayce part got me lmao
Season 2 jinx has definitely tried to turn Vi into a strainer.
Season 2 Act 2 Jayce is becoming lore accurate :D
I don’t know anything about the game so I don’t know what Jayce is like, but wouldn’t it not be lore accurate because he does what he does for the benefit of mankind and to oppose destruction and corruption?
Watch act 3. He isn't
Homelander fading in was absolutely baller joke
o do jayce não envelheceu bem ein, phelios kk
Viktor in Arcane: *PILTOVER JESUS*
Viktor in lol: SARAH CONNOR?
might want to revise the description of arcane jayce after this season lol
Nah. He's still good
0:55 OMG thats 100% true omg if someone dont know the lore he is basicly homelander in lore omg xDDDDDD
0:39 i dont see any problems with this, if you want to make champions like kysante lucian or ekko BREATHLESS just for 2.95$ a minute
Jayce Arcane Season 2 Episode 6 jup Homelander...
With Arcane, they made the Harley Quinn ripoff Jinx better than any version of Harley Quinn ever existed.
I have a feeling like whatever happens in season two will make this a reality. If Jinx blowing up the senate didn't do it already
well we see jayce really got into his league role in arcane
I straight-up hate the LoL designs with a passion, especially Jinx and Vi’s. I will forever thank the showrunners for changing it for the better.
@@Eres_Nyx1154until she becomes a enforcer for piltover this season seems more like LOL vi then what you say arcane vi is supposed to be.
@mjw2002mjw Well, the alternative was that Caitlyn and her team go after Jinx with extreme prejudice. At least with Vi on the team, they can mitigate some of the damage to come.
Design wise, she's getting closer to her LOL counterpart. But that's really it.
What the fuck is wrong with you?
The original designs were peak riot. Arcane treated them like shit, go watch star wars acolyte, same level of respect to what made the characters popular to begin with
I'm gonna have to take your word for it dude because I'm not gonna play LOL to find out.
Oh no, a old Jayce lore....
The jayce one really aged well
the "cares about Viktor" part didnt age well
