I finally took the time today to save all my PK progress - probably over 50 charts! 😅 Thanks for the PSA, but I’m sad you had to deal with the negative consequences first hand.
I've been there and I can understand your despair! My less-than-one-year-old tablet completely died on me and I had no backup of any of my patterns... Luckily, I got a replacement as the warranty was still valid. From that point on, I always save export a backup of my progress whenever I am done stitching for the day and save it on my Google drive. It's only a couple of seconds and it can save you from A LOT of pain!
You just made my time on Tiger just fly by! 😍 I just love how you share about everything 🤗 The interview with Becca was awesome and the 🎈 cracked me up! 😂 I think you should start the Ring in May too 🤣🤩 What better time than when we are marathoning the books again?! ❤ So much more to say so little brain power to remember it all 😝 Luv ya! 😘

Fantastic progress. Your wips look amazing. Especially Seavillians and Dino. I love seeing them from the distance it shows them at their best. So sorry to hear about your tablet. Talk about amazing coincidence. Yesterday my tablet was playing up. I have a kindle fire for pattern keeper. It was doing funny things. First thing I did was back all my patterns up. I deleted a few and it was happier. I worked on one for the day backed it up but it was still zooming in and out when I hadn’t touched it. I did buy another tablet. As I think it is on its last legs. I’m going to do a factory reset on it and just use it to watch UA-cam from now on. Don’t trust it to use for pattern keeper. I have Halloween nights. I really need to start it. I have it kitted. Yours is amazing. Just as well it isn’t a retired chart since you needed to rebuy the pattern . Hugs 🤗 Tania.

I am glad that you got a New Tablet. I do not keep any of my Patterns on my Tablet - just my Desk Top Computer. I print out my Charts. This way I have them. I do not use Pattern Keeper or Mark Up XP. You are a super hero for doing all them on paper! I did before pattern keeper and I know I could do it again but I feel I would make a lot of mistakes with the full coverage

Are your CXC cotton or polyester? I have seen it both ways & have never used polyester before. Your interview was great! And I have to say I love your message at the end. I worked in MH for 19 yrs & totally believe your message ❤️
I’m honestly not 100% sure if they are cotton or polyester. I just know I love the coverage and the price point 😂 Thank you! I have gone through periods where I struggled with it so just trying to be a help in anyway.
I recently found your channel and love your projects. Can you explain to me why you sometimes use dyed fabrics on a full coverage piece? I’m sorry your tablet died and I’m glad you and your “team” were able to get you going again in a timely manner. 😅 back up.
Welcome!! I sure can. Sometimes I do it so I have something fun to look at while I stitch because they take forever and sometimes I will grab it because I had it on hand already. :)
Terrible story of pattern keeper. I try to export after every 1000 stitches. But this a very good warning for me. Great progress on your beautiful projects. Happy stitching

I learned a very hard lesson about saving and backing up files at a previous job - before we had laptops and the only computers were desktops that relied on being plugged in. (I think I just aged myself there lol) I had worked for HOURS on a project, and hadn't saved it.. and then the power went out!! Every once in a while I get a bit lazy about backing up or saving files and it always seems to bite me.. so I feel your pain! 🪡👠

I was always worried about losing my stuff in school but couldn’t be bothered to stop stitching lol
