As a suggestion, do a one take of the Shikishima, I'm not sure if I'll take the Bourgogne or the Shiki. It would be my first steel ship.
I really like playing with Yamato and I like playing with Jean Bart even more.
Congratulations on the work you do.
Go Bourg first, Shiki is just really a side-grade Yammy. Not to mention the fact that Shiki has 6 guns to Yammy's 9.
Definitely recommend the Bourgogne first. You can get similar gameplay to the Shiki by just grabbing the Satsuma, steel is so long to get I personally spend it on ships with very unique gameplay.
Get the Satsuma instead, if credits allow for it
im in same predicament, i dont want to work the bs jap lines when all i want is the yammy.
This whole game I was telling myself "don't let the Benham kill PQ, don't let the Benham kill PQ" haha. Really cool to hear commentary and your thought process on a flank I was playing on too. Always look forward to your content and thanks for making me a better player. GG
Was my first steel ship. I completely agree that its the best steel ship
Honestly, I think using one of the Honroe Captains is better for Bourg than Auboyneau. Yes Auboyneau's talent perks make Bourg a even bigger threat, but getting them to proc is a real challenge most games while the Honroe's improved AR and GtG are there 24/7.
I also love the bourgogne, by far my best average damage ship with around 165k per game. Nowhere near that with my other T10s.
Damn nice, I average approximately 147k with more than 120 games in it, winrate is at about 68%. I never had so much success with any other ships.
So excited for June - Buying this ship immediately once the coupon is up.
I don’t know, but for some reason playing _against_ this ship, I have never seen it to be anything special… Ohio’s are still terrifying though, even in this long range meta
oh I totally get it, but PLAYING it is such a different ship.. 380's whoopie, 12 of them? yeah thats good, decent accuracy and pen? so whats special? oh it goes 40kts.. and has a reload booster. and yet it is the BEST ship for no other reason..
Battleships without overmatch AP potato aid require high skill to play effectively since you need to find those broadsides with good positioning.
The thing is people dont understand what a crazy firestarter this thing is so even a potato could do a lot of damage just by starting a lot of fires... If you DO play bourgogne well, she will outperform most of your other T10 BBs easily in raw damage output though.
Agree, and i prefer Republique any day with its fast reload and bigger guns
Bourgogne is one of those ships that potatoes buy because people say it's good. in practice 2 out of 5 bourgogne have stats in the deep red and only spams HE, in which case it isn't much better than a conqueror. You need to find opportunities to make use of that European 380 AP with great ballistics and pen, which is the most important fun factor in these french battleships imo. Take that away it's really less special than a conqueror, i.e. you only worry about its fires.
It's an instant flamethrower as soon as you hit the mbr consumable button, it's ap is somewhat accurate but definitely one of the higher end dpm values in the game. It's super speedy and maneuverable. On top of that it's turtleback can work somewhat and it's got a good secondary suite to boot. Almost everything about this ship screams fun
Fantastic ship. Still a go to favorite .
I’ll be able to get my 2nd steel ship in a few weeks and I’m hesitating, Bourgogne or Stalingrad…
Good timing on this video as I'm waiting for the June coupon to drop so I can pick the Bourgogne up finally (after having Plymouth, Stalin, Shiki and Meck)
The French BB dispersion is just so weird sometimes. Oftentimes you shoot and see shells just burst towards random directions like a shotgun but most of them end up connecting.
The horizontal dispersion is quitebad - but the vertical dispersion is really good. So they love broadsides ;-)
As a DD player this is one of the few BB's I am happy to take out as it can dance very well...
Ahhh Bourgogne.... I love this ship, but my win rate on this ship is disappointing.I always end up lose the game most of times when I play this ship. Not sure if I stuck into a weird MM mechanism.. I think I am reasonably decent player and I am confident to say when I lose the game, I will be at least top three on the end game screen with over 1k xp on this ship. It is just frustrating when you keep losing the game when you play your favourite ship
I have it quite similar. Sometimes i get really bad mm run and i just end up loosing 10 games in a row in 1 ship, even if im doing well
The teams in this game can troll quite a bit.
Pretty sure WG has gradually increased bb over pens. Seems only perfectly central hits do damage
Please do Shikishima next?
Was going to get Bourgogne next this video talked me out of it. Going for Stalingrad instead.
Really wanted Stalingrad first and really still want her but I do love battleships more. Got Incomparable first (don't regret) and this time will more than likely get Borgourne but Stalingrad will be ahead of Mecklenberg even though I love German BBs as I'm thinking Brandenburg is a better tier 8 than Mecklenburg is a tier 10
Bourgogne is the best steel ship by far. Would definitely recommend it
"wheres our dispersion!...*3 cits* wait thats fine" 🤣
This is great... (POINTS AT BORGOUNE)
But I like this (POINTS AT INCOMPARABLE)
Siegfried next please
Doesn't the turbo only affect your top speed, not how fast it takes you to get there?
It gives you also more engine power for acceleration, test it on DD's :)
i play this ship in the console version and it becomes my favorite legendary or i should say tier 10(pc) ship, the guns is 380mm but i think it has more penetration than the other 380mm, for HE wise boi it really slaps hard and i think in my experience the HE dispersion is better than the AP dispersion(like i said in my experience).
The Bourgogne: The ship that I should absolutely wreck with, but always end up getting destroyed in.
Sees atrocious dispersion.....
proceed to hit 3 citadels
It look bad, but it was perfect for the target.
Nice tight groups of shells are ideal, but against that broadside FDR the terrible horizontal dispersion shells to land on the full length of the ship since the verticle was awful, but perfectly suited to the shot.
I love seeing Bourgogne’s on the water. Free damage for me 😂
Small caliber yeah, but can cit a Yama 22 km away than my Monty
I wish I could get that ship, but Ive been playing since the beginning of steel, and I still don't have even 10k. I don't play clan battles at all, and ranked only rarely, so yeah I know it's my fault I don't have any lol.
Bourgogne or Mecklenburg? Nearing the time where I can buy my first steel ship and have my eye on the Mecklenburg. Current favorite BB is the St vincent and want an upgrade to that but with a similar playstyle (battlecruiser, not very tanky). Mecklenburg with its 16 guns is very tempting.
I have them both. I love playing them. My first was the Ohio, followed by the Bourgogne. I just obtained the Mecklenburg last month. Bourgogne is the better of the 3 because it's highly mobile and maneuverable with decent long range accuracy. You'll enjoy whichever one you decide on.

@@Cmdr_Krella I've been called many a thing; however, OP is not one of them! 🤣😂
Couldn't find a One take on the almighty Marlborough.
I still agree that it's a fun boat when you get a good roll on matches, but (and this might just be me not using her in the best way) the lack of hp and armour Really hurts this ship with super ship games.. Satsuma is an extreme example of long range overmatch, and the dpm is just insane at the tier. It's left me having to sit back in games, waiting for my team to win the initial push, and I can then push in to clean up, but unfortunately it's not as high impact as I'd like it to be in the early game.
Get a t10 or even t8 mm though and it's a blast, but super ships are getting more and more common unfortunately
Thank God everyone doesn’t follow your example and sit back and wait for someone else to do something.
Considering between Mecklenburg and Bourgone
Ragnar coughing at the front door
Is no one going to acknowledge the most amazing thing that happened in this battle??? A shima actually used its guns!!
Hello, im between Shikishima and Bourgogne which one i shall get first?. Regards.
Bourgogne
Next month I will be mine I can’t wait 😁
Mecklenburg is a good alternative if you hate French ships (i dont but some people do)
What's the name of that sub mod? that looks pretty handy
Bourgogne was my 3rd steel ship after Shiki and Stalingrad, but fully agree with you.
I had at least 2 funny matches with this one.
Once finished 2 DDs, other time made it last man in team against Ragnar and Nakhimov, although DD was low HP and came from open water for one of 2 caps I guarded, CV was scary to me but juking close to island made him much less effective. DD died and CV was out of spot range, but anyway caps defended, made me satisfied.
But there is so many ships around, I like to try or grind, WG knows how to keep players in.
Also playing mostly temporary modes, brawls, ranked or special events sometimes, so it less time for T10s.
Everyone says how great it is but these videos it largely underwhelms in the amount of broadsides that get shown to it and it just doesn't deliver that damage. Its basically just a fun battlecruiser in a BB slot from the time's that I've played it.
What about Brisk on Bourg?
Fav Ship
Caveat: If you suck with BattleShips, you will suck with the Burgogne. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT WHEN CHOOSING YOUR FIRST STEEL SHIP!!!
PQ is primarily a BB player, do not buy BBs unless you are very confident in their use. I have bought the Ohio, and I suck completely with it. Maybe some day I will get good at BBs but currently, I am focused down and destroyed 9/10 times before I can get 10k damage.
10k in a Ohio is very bad. That is a bad salvo worth of damage.
mans flexing that war paint camo every chance he gets (id do the same)
that commander build tho...
every high speed ship is enjoyable. it opens map to play around
whats on spacebar?
When you said all the Tech tree ships, i think of all classes. And yet the CV and Subs is still missing
He thinks CVs and subs suck, and so do I.
French disperson really is a roll of the dice. When I play the JB or Bourgogne, I don't bother continue playing that ship if wargaming decides my shots shouldn't land.
This was my first premium
>"I enjoy brawling so much"
>kites away so much the CV is in front of you
I just got this ship for steel. I think Bourgogne is not a particularly good ship, but can be fun, depends really on the DDs and brawlers in the team. My favourite T10 BB is the Schlieffen, so I spontaneously compared the two. Bourgogne has very inconsistent guns, absolutely unreliable, like the Schlieffen (more range on the Bourgogne, but doesn't really add more DMG, since the Schlieffen has 420 mm). Both are short of healthpool and have paperthin hull, they are battlecruisers as you also stated. BUT Schlieffen has torps, hydro, AND the secondaries! So for me Schlieffen is the better of the two. I have 55,64 % WR, 8000 battles. My WR with the Schlieffen is 57 %. So I'm not a complete noob, I know the game a little bit.
I am so sad I wasted my steel on Shikishima man. I think I would enjoy Burger much more...
For steel i got Bourgogne, Ragnar and Staliniumgrade - And since Tromp Ragnar is no longer really needed.
Lol what? Trump and Ragnar are nothing alike.
@@shadowsaberXYZ Trump is better. Not only 6 150 mm guns, it has torps, airstrike and better concealment. No radar, but that can be helped by radio location.
It’s just a bigger Alsace 🤷
Only steel ship i want is the Incomparable, but as I dont have an option to earn much steel i hope one day it will be available for coal
It took a really long time but I actually got enough steel for the Austin without ever playing a clan battle
I dont play cb and i have Bourgogne and Stalin already. It's definitely doable
Got the Renown 44 and whaled the St Wincent just before I was able to get my first ship. I was NEVER a fan of 6 gun battleships but loved the St Vincent and the Renown 44 SO MUCH I went nuts and got the INCOMPARABLE. I DONT regret it
She's a fing beast
CV = G R E A T S A T A N
Champagne is fun too lower tier and without of reload buttob
love watching your content bro
Bourgogne dispersion isn't great at all and that's shown in the video. It has practically the same guns as GK. The only ship with worse dispersion is Columbo but that has 16 guns and SAP.
Very bad ship! U may have some lucky btls with it, but cannot turn the tide like a Schlieffen
man they are too many new ships and youre posting a bourgogne gameplay, come on
