The Uno is such a special car. Its controls are raw and can be compared to the controls of a 125/250cc motorcycle in terms of how they feel. It for sure is not a well built car by any means, but it's such a pleasure to drive it: Steering is decently direct but still light even without power steering (155/165r13 width tires may have something to do with that); Power brakes are excellent and not touchy at all; Throttle is very responsive and sensitive, you can have 50% of the car's power with just 30% of travel, so the car doesn't feel sluggish whatsoever in city driving; Fiat gearboxes of these econobox cars are known to be scratchy and imprecise, but if you don't try to drive it like a race car and give the synchros time to do their thing, its gearbox can be such a pleasure to use and masterfully scaled to the torque curve of the little engine. The entire car is just a tangible, sensorial experience. It's funny to say this but, it's weird that such a cheaply built car can be so pleasing to drive, such a raw experience of interaction between man and machine and almost unbreakable. It's got a lot of grip for the width of tires it uses and its weight, I've personally left a lot of pickup trucks behind while driving on muddy backroads and for that very reason it is known as "The Legend/Myth" in Brazil. It's the Jeep that Jeep never built. Dead reliable, can be a steal of how little fuel it uses and its maintenance is as simple as it comes, even in the newer (Up to 2013) models with equipped the Chrysler/Fiat Fire Mille engine with the Magneti Marelli flex fuel injection. If you've never driven one, you should defo try it. If you don't have a car, this is hands down the best learner car, and one you'll have a hard time growing out of.

If you want to buy a Fiat of the same age to replace your Uno, its cousin the Tipo 1.6 is fantastic. It handles much like the Uno, but doesn't feel like a can of tuna and has much more stability, and power steering/air con.
My first car just after getting my license was an identical one. I drove it for almost 3 years and made with it around 80kkm. However I got it when it was almost new so it drove really well. But other then that it was such a fun little car.
Fiat Uno is a huge success here in Brazil. And you can still buy a Brand New (of course is a completely new model) if you want. A lot of them is still running, so it's a very common car in Brazil (although there is some quite differences next to the video one).
Fiat Uno is a very popular car in Europe, South America and some Arab-speaking countries. In Asia, it wasn't so successful bcz Fiat didn't have extensive service workshop network and spare part availability.
This car is very interesting. In Brazil Fiat built it from 1984 thru 2013, much engine displacements was used, but the most common was 4 cylunders 1.0 liter (994cm3) starting ate 48,5 horse-power in 1990 (no fuel injection) all the way to 66hp in later models. Those cars was equipped with air-conditioner, power windows, power locks, rear defroster, even power steering (ever wondering why...after all it was too light). I do drive some, never own one! My favorite was a Mille Way, it was a Uno with 1.0 liter and a higher springs in their suspension.
Such a basic car but pretty cool at the same time, not gonna lie I would never have one but I respect it a lot, here in Brazil this car is very popular because it's so simple and cheap to maintain
I have the Brazilian version of the Fiat Punto mk2 equipped with one of the engines that was later used in some versions of this Uno. It's a Fiat Palio Fire 1050cc which uses the same power train, gearbox, suspension, body and even tires.
Uno to pierwszy wóz, którym jeździłem i długo jedyny jakim jeździłem. Akurat było to 5D 1,4ieS 69KM. Miał wspaniałego kopa. Słabe hamulce. Gnił na potęgę, a elektryka to podobnie słaby punkt (stacyjka kaput, przekaznik świateł). A był z nami przez 140tys km i z 15lat.

Bom e velho Uno,aqui no Brasil é um carro muito popular por ser de baixo custo.
Fiat Uno is a huge success here in Brazil. And you can still buy a Brand New (of course is a completely new model) if you want.
A lot of them is still running, so it's a very common car in Brazil (although there is some quite differences next to the video one).
EXCELLENT CAR I HAD ONE OF THOSE, MY FIRST CAR MY FIRST LOVE!!! SIMPLY GOOD CAR !!!,THANKS FOR THAT VIDEO, IT REMIND ME OF MY BELOVED FIRST CAR.
Mielismy takiego 1.0 w ladnym grafitowym lakierze. W porownaniu do poloneza to byl statek kosmiczny.
Fiat Uno is a very popular car in Europe, South America and some Arab-speaking countries. In Asia, it wasn't so successful bcz Fiat didn't have extensive service workshop network and spare part availability.
the uno from brazil are 1.3 to 1.6 but the 1.6 is so rare, everybody loves the fiat uno, so famous car
here in brazil this car is a classic, you can buy a good one for (equivalent) $2000 dollars + -
or approximately 7 average salaries
$2000?! That's a lot
In morroco its around 1100$
@@zakariabendouirani1978even lower then that price
This car is very interesting. In Brazil Fiat built it from 1984 thru 2013, much engine displacements was used, but the most common was 4 cylunders 1.0 liter (994cm3) starting ate 48,5 horse-power in 1990 (no fuel injection) all the way to 66hp in later models. Those cars was equipped with air-conditioner, power windows, power locks, rear defroster, even power steering (ever wondering why...after all it was too light). I do drive some, never own one! My favorite was a Mille Way, it was a Uno with 1.0 liter and a higher springs in their suspension.
Fiat uno 💙.. hi joe!
As Yaris 1.0 driver... I approve. Racing style of acceleration, no overtaking possible
What a cutie. Love the Turbo Version of this car
Such a basic car but pretty cool at the same time, not gonna lie I would never have one but I respect it a lot, here in Brazil this car is very popular because it's so simple and cheap to maintain
So satisfying 😍
I had one a year ago 1.1L 55hp i think, 181K km on the clock i got it up to 150km/h with no problem.
The car is very clean
uno o rei here in Brazil congratulations friend you attracted an audience but I loved the channel
Najlepsza fura do miasta albo do spontan tripów. Moze nie ma klimy, moze bedzie sie przegrzewał ale zawsze zajedziem
This car is extremely simple. Good choice if you don't have much money
Uwielbiam takie testy 😍 w dodatku z humorem 1:12 😆 sztos👍
I have the Brazilian version of the Fiat Punto mk2 equipped with one of the engines that was later used in some versions of this Uno. It's a Fiat Palio Fire 1050cc which uses the same power train, gearbox, suspension, body and even tires.
The GOD of the roads in Brazil 😅
I like this car. Its cute
Uno to pierwszy wóz, którym jeździłem i długo jedyny jakim jeździłem. Akurat było to 5D 1,4ieS 69KM. Miał wspaniałego kopa. Słabe hamulce. Gnił na potęgę, a elektryka to podobnie słaby punkt (stacyjka kaput, przekaznik świateł). A był z nami przez 140tys km i z 15lat.
I really love FIAT UNO
sweatshirt perfectly fits to the car
this is the brazilian supercar.. amazing
