Haha! The two facial expressions of Hole #5! Brodie Smith and Ezra Aderhold are the best practice rounds out there this season. Thank you so much for sharing, guys.
I really appreciate these practice rounds to see the course. Especially this one because it’s been a while since it’s been on a big stage. Very excited for this new major early in the season
3:17 Brodie catches his hand on his hooded shirt drawstring and it flips up and he thinks it is a bug. This is the most real life moment I've ever seen
Before I even watch the actual play, I want to thank Brodie and Ezra for this and so many other high quality and interesting videos… also, for what it’s worth, on behalf of old school disc golfers like myself ( PDGA #4030) thank you for stepping up and paying $1,000 of your own money to make the driving range available last year. I don’t know all the details, but it seems like a major step up by you for the players. 👍🏼
Man. Love these videos. Hearing you guys talk about the shot, bounce things off eachother and pick your lines is great. Keep it up guys. This course looks AWESOME 🤘
Recently started playing disc golf and instantly hooked so many wonderful knowledgeable videos to help us move along in the game appreciate the videos you have left in your climb throughout this process. 3 weeks in with longest drive 265 and +9 on best 18 hole course run
Ezra is right about hunting on disc golf courses. I played a course in Wisconsin last week that closes during hunting season and has those lil hunting shacks off the fairways.
When I started this game I was mainly innova. Now I'm spreading my wings! I'm bagging the nuke, buzz, zone and Malta. I'm loving discraft for real!!!! Great disc!!!!!
I met you in the parking lot and I was playing a few holes ahead of you while you were filming. I’m just watching the first hole, I’m sure you figured it out in the end, but the different colored flagging tapes was to indicate how far you were from the hole. 100, 150, 200 feet. Thanks for being so gracious.
@@BrodieSmith Well, considering that I was there when Emmitt Smith was there..... Best of luck next week! I'm hoping to be able to get out there for one of the rounds.
I really dig these practice round videos. It was a great idea to start this. I imagine that this will become a trend in the disc golf UA-cam community. I could see ball golfers getting into this, too. Though, some of those courses probably don’t approve of filming.
@@judahaderhold Hey Judah, what are you guys using to record these rounds? Are you using a tripod, too? I'm a small disc golf channel and want to upgrade in the future. Video looks good on this. Thank you in advance.
Each color ribbon is associated with a distance, so you know how far you are from the hole. For hole #1, yellow ribbon means you have 400ft left to the basket. Orange is 300ft left, and pink/purple is 150ft left.
I hope that some day you two walk into a bar and someone asks what you guys do. You say "Pro disc golfers" and they have a super warped view of what a normal disc golfer might look like.
Next time you're on the "gauntlet" hole as you call it, look straight above the gap in the middle of the fairway. There's a whole ass tree growing out of the top of a whole ass tree. Kinda neat.
“Who’s hunting on a disc golf course?!” I advise don’t play Scioto Grove Ohio. There are archery ranges about 150 ft into the wood next to some holes. If you get lost you can find yourself near them.
Brodie - can you talk about the putt @ 7:56? In my mind that's a foot fault but I was curious how you perceive it. Looks like that back foot is off the ground before you release
i think that putt is technically legal when you go frame by frame. but i do think its just too hard to tell at real speed and would be even harder to tell in real time at a tournament where we cant watch it over and over. for that reason im not a huge fan of that putting style, especially in a cardmate enforced penalty system and the post produced rounds available for eternity online. Seems like a situation just begging to ruin an entire cards round, and then the inevitable war of words online as the armchair officials have their say as well. but for me personally I call it like I would outside the lines in tennis. If I cant see that it clearly went out then I just always play it as in.
Hey ribbons are for cross country races. update: thats nice they have distance ribbons on the trees, when i was there last it was for cross country. lol
Actually a few years back when I first started playing a guy was sitting in a tree stand bow hunting at the property line of my home course. So someone was basically hunting on the disc golf course.
duuuude. i was an assistant manager at subway. does having other people make your sandwiches there now give you anxiety? it's almost like they have no idea what they're doing all the time. lmao. love the videos, keep it rollin!
How we doing everybody!
whered you get those shorts brodie? I need em! btw loving the content with ezra you guys vibe off of each other really well
Doing great Brodie! What's the best wrist strengthening exercise you know for disc control and power?
Slay
Oh I have no idea. I rarely buy new clothes so these could have been bought 5+ years ago
No clue, I would suggest to just throw more
I'm so excited for this tournament, looks like good practice! You guys have such good camera chemistry, we all enjoy your videos. Keep it up guys!
Thanks so much!!

By far my favorite thing to see in my sub box, ezra and brodie practice rounds. You guys rock

The boys are back! Loving these practice rounds
So excited for this event! Love watching you two play together; great vibes and always talking about the lines. Awesome preview to the course
"People were very happy we ran those" 🤣
Loving these practice rounds. Keep up the good work boys 🤙🏽

These are some of my favorite none tournament disc golf videos. You guys are awesome!
Man. Love these videos. Hearing you guys talk about the shot, bounce things off eachother and pick your lines is great. Keep it up guys. This course looks AWESOME 🤘
Love watching you Pros play my local course.
lucky dog
Ive wanted to see a full play through of this course Ive heard all about so excited for this one
I love the cut from Brodie talking about bad tee shots to Ezra saying it was an ideal shot 😂
Gotta keep these brozra practice rounds going. They are the best.
Welcome to Augusta, glad to have y’all in the area!

Welcome! Can't wait to see everyone at the tournament!!
Love these bro please keep them up for the dg community!
Seems like you guys push each other forward to get better in the game and as a person as well.
Yall should interview the course designer, John Houck, sometime. Really would love to see more Houck courses on the tour

LOVE these practice rounds.
Hole three's green is the kind of commentary we look for while watching disc golf. Classic disc golf commentary
Cant wait to be there to watch you guys on sunday!
Love that you and Ezra have been shooting together.
Don't say "shooting." It makes Brodie nervous.

It was a pleasure meeting you
Loving the Brodie/Ezra practice rounds
This course looks amazing! I hope to play there one day!
2 other courses 100ft away. Have heard they are just as good.
Coming back to this video months later, love to see the "invention" of the step-putt warm up walk. 🔥🔥 #historymadehere
Brodie is the biggest hand talker ive ever seen lmao it's hilarious! 😂😂
Wow has this placed grown up in the 12 years since I've been there. Good pairing with you 2, keep it up.
dude i love wr jackson, first discgolf round video i ever saw, good nostalgia
definitely a course id like to play
Love the shoutout to Reitz Union! It's totally different now than when I was there.
Yea they have done a ton of renovations to it

Chadley and Chadwick play disc golf. Love it!
Good intro. Excited to follow you both at this event on this epic course.
love that you're involved with foundation !
Not gunna lie, love you and Ezra in the same video. Great content need more
"Subway is Brodie's biggest accomplishment ". I come here for disc golf and got a Gordon Ramsey quality roast 🍽
He's got the Get Freaky Zones how about we get some Get Sneaky Raptors. Lol
Absolutely love the dynamic between you two. Best duo in disc golf! And great filming as well. Is that Judah? 🔥
Ayyy thanks man! I'm trying my best haha

@@NickCarroll The camera is a Sony hxr nx 80 and we mount that on a manfrotto monopod (not sure of the model on that)
@@judahaderhold ok thank you, Judah!
finaly a new Brodie video
Watching pros play on one of my home courses is surreal, so cool
I dont watch all of these but you and Ezra are great. Name a better dynamic duo... I'll wait 👌
Love these practice rounds
Loving these Ezra x Brodie practice rounds!
Brodie talking about Suway
Ezra: "That's actually Brodie's biggest accomplishment"😂
Nice course. Like the distance markers.
It def helps gauge distances faster
No one:
Absolutely no one:
Brodie: SCOOBER!
Hope I get to meet you guys at the tournament!
I'll be hanging around for a bit after all my rounds
The ribbons are distance markers - it's in the caddy book.
Watch the video
Ezra channeling his inner Schmidt from New Girl "All Day!"
This should be a consistent thing with you two
We done it the last few weeks and plan to keep it going.
The ribbons are for distances, the staff in the idgc can tell you what color=what distance
Each color ribbon is associated with a distance, so you know how far you are from the hole. For hole #1, yellow ribbon means you have 400ft left to the basket. Orange is 300ft left, and pink/purple is 150ft left.
I enjoy these!!! Love the Go MICHIGAN!!!!
This course looks amazing. Good luck boys
We use ribbons to mark trees for removal or trimming. Color coding can vary but orange typically denotes removal
Yea if you keep watching we find out what the ribbons really mean
I hope that some day you two walk into a bar and someone asks what you guys do. You say "Pro disc golfers" and they have a super warped view of what a normal disc golfer might look like.
haha
This is funny 😄
I don't know who is behind the camera. But their skills are incredible. Kudos!
Brodie seems really hyped.
this is an awesome course
Team Discraft is awesome thanks man
My local disc golf course shuts down for hunting season every year and has an archery range on the course
The Discraft bros.
The markers are awesome
If you didn't mention Elmer Fudd, I'm not sure I would have made that connection. And already, I can't unhear it. Thanks Ezra lolol
Loved the infectious disease talk. Keep it up!
love these
Your foot is literally like a centimeter off the ground as your disc is released during your step putt. that is a close one
Ebola, E. cola, and E. coli had me laughing so hard.
"it's gonna be like some hunting thing or something"... "who's hunting on a disc golf course, Ezra?!" 😂😂🤣
the ribbons are distance markings :)
I’m so glad Ez was like oh god ima get memed for that.. 😂.
This thumbnail😂 how I'm posing for all my pictures from now on
Next time you're on the "gauntlet" hole as you call it, look straight above the gap in the middle of the fairway. There's a whole ass tree growing out of the top of a whole ass tree. Kinda neat.
I wish you both were playing in Tallahassee I was hoping to see you guys for my first pro tournament viewing
Bruh this into... Lol throw the disc already! Good luck next week fellas!
Every video needs a "Brodie's Word of the Day" where they cover the word he used by mistake.
Haha 😂
W. R. Jackson kicked my 900ish rated ass like few others, but it is very fun course. Good work to (mostly) keep it in the fairway!
Also, the lead foot hits the ground before the disc was released
i think that putt is technically legal when you go frame by frame. but i do think its just too hard to tell at real speed and would be even harder to tell in real time at a tournament where we cant watch it over and over. for that reason im not a huge fan of that putting style, especially in a cardmate enforced penalty system and the post produced rounds available for eternity online. Solid
Wide Receiver Jackson looks like a fun course.
Hunting for birdies 😂😂😂 normally Rubin trees are ones about to be cut down.
I'm sure he doesn't, but feels like Brodie steps before letting go of his step putt everytime lol
Im going to be playing pro pretty soon can’t wait
Get it!!!! I'm liking your videos!!!!
No ribbon on that tree.
There will b tomorrow!!! 🤣🤣🤣
E-boli, the African Subway Spinach Disease 😂
Lmao bruh eboli had me dead
A good idea is to spray paint tree around what time the paint will fade and won't harm the trees
Actually a few years back when I first started playing a guy was sitting in a tree stand bow hunting at the property line of my home course. So someone was basically hunting on the disc golf course.
that's a bit terrifying
