I just found a random dampener on a public tennis court. New to tennis so had no idea what it was or who it belonged to. Guess I'll try make use of it.
@@baltazarsanchez6933 dude, i use to train with Sharapova in the childhood, a Master of Sport, which is a round 5,5-6 ntrp. I dont want a drummer to be teaching me any tennis. What u are saing is nonsense. A dampener on a side does not mute the central string you are hitting the ball with! Isn't it obvious to you that a drumm doesn't have strings, so you can mute it by putting an object in any spot you want. Gosh...
I heard that their a shock absorbers that has a little hole in the middle and when ever you swing the racket it makes a little whistling sound do any of you by any chance know what it’s called or where I can get it
I still don't understand why the dampener isn't centered...

I've lost a dampener every time I play and I'm just about ready to give them up
I feel The racquet is easier to control with the dampener because it doesnt shake too much
Is it just me?
I agree with you, but honestly I think it only makes a marginal difference, it's not like they make a massive difference for me
Good sound demo 💪🎾
Thanks!
I don't use dampeners, actually I find the sound satisfying and useful, It's just me? :,D
I tend not to use them either, honestly it's only a marginal difference, it's not like dampeners are gonna make a HUGE difference in your playing :)
u have whistler dampners too
0:21 my OCD is going crazy looking at your dampener placement...
How to you put the Wilson dampener on
I got a real Wimbledon dampener my coach said it was rare, is this true?
Haha without seeing it, I'm not sure. Maybe!
I don't use a dampener...the vibration tells me a lot about the ball I'm giving and receiving. But that's just me...
It's different for everybody, I get it!
is there something like vthis for pickelball paddle
I don't think so
why is your dampener on a side? that is wrong
???
Your Wilson dampener is not placed in the middle String! But why? Doesnt make any sence 🙈
@@snowmansportsmedia why didn't you center them
@@baltazarsanchez6933 wrong. The hitting spot is not on a side of a raquet, it is in the centre.

Do the worm ones work different
Nah, just more of a style thing, most dampeners have the same impact on your racket
Thanks man btw I liked and subbed
Sorry but you are so wrong@@snowmansportsmedia
@@andrewross365Snowman is very wrong. Button size dampners do not mute the resonance (sound) as much as the "worm" long dampner.

Dampeners not required for beginners, right?
Nah, they really don't make you better or worse, it's more of an aesthetic thing!
@@snowmansportsmedia thanks for your response
It's effectively a little weight, about 4 grams. That alone affects racquet balance and power so this video is wrong.
Damn bro you can't handle 4 grams you weak as hell huh
You cant handle 4 grams???
It’s not that he can’t handle it, it messes with the stringing to take away power
I hate vibration dampeners
I have never used them , modern rackets strung with natural gut or a good multifilament string don't vibrate.
I agree Kayser Sosay
Me neither, makes no difference to me. It's more of an image thing.
@@Bikerbeest That is just objectively wrong lmao.
My racket has vibration issues so I like em
