  • As performed by HAIL MARY, live at the Tokyo Plaza, Oct 31st, 1987.
Japanese gore metal quartet HAIL MARY unexpectedly became international superstars in the autumn of 1987. Founded in Aichi prefecture by guitarist Mika Aoyama, their English language hit, “The Man Named Frankenstein”, reached #4 on the American Billboard charts. Combining a distorted rockabilly sound with childish lyrics about movie monsters, MARY emerged as a cult favorite at college Halloween parties. Additionally, their spooky 1986 release, “Rain Ghost” gained heavy FM rotation after being featured on the soundtrack for the Italian horror film, Die a Million Times.
HAIL MARY fans, known for their devotion, or some might say obsessiveness, are called the Flies.
Their latest release, Godzilla Disco Sunshine, distributed by Arista Records, is available on LP or cassette.
