Telltale Games likes to keep us all in the dark. They should have made TWMU2 first before The Expanse, maybe they would have gotten more sales if they did.
@@youngqueazy4815 As much I hate saying this over my game of thrones season 2. I feel a season 3 of Minecraft would help than more over releasing Expanse since the fanbase got bigger than before.
If I remember correctly, according to Telltale the only game they made that didn't lose money was that first season of Walking Dead, hence why they kept making seasons from that franchise. Everything about old Telltale felt like they were desperately overworking and overextending themselves with every project to try and replicate that first TWD seasons success but just sinking lower and lower profit-wise in their attempts to do so, and that's really sad. They kept trying to catch lightning in a bottle again, but all they had to do was stop spending so much on super expensive IPs, make fewer games, have more dev time on individual games, and not over-bloat the number of employees they had.
Ok the original TWAU2 plans sounded like a horrible idea. I'm kinda glad it never got made. But it's not like we're currently in the best timeline either. The new Telltale is basically making the same mistakes by releasing other games like The Expanse which I think made them LOSE money since no one asked for it. They said there will be new info in 2024. There was nothing in TGA last year. It's now 2025 and they're still silent. I think they're silently cancelling this game.
I really wanted a Wolf Amoug Us Season 2 and a Batman Telltale Season 3 but Telltale just had to be stupid by giving us a game The Expanse that nobody freaking asked for! Imagine all the trouble Telltale could avoid if they just listen to the fans and give the fans what they want!
Bigby and Snow do get involved romantically in the comics, it just takes a while which absolutely could have been earned and not rushed like their original plans were.
Funny enough we nearly got a live action Fables show back in the day, apparently it was a mess and when Once Upon A Time came out they decided against it and cancelled all plans.
@@EricTalksBacktht makes total sense. i watched OUaT wit my auntie and it was HUGE until the ratings dropped around like the 3rd or 4th season bc of all the new storylines, like when they started implementing plot points tht involved new(er) disney movies and other fairy tales like frozen(new at the time) and alice in wonderland. plus a lot of the main characters ended up leaving the show, the lady tht played emma swan didnt wasnt in like the last 2 seasons im pretty sure and she was the main character for like %80 of the show.
@ well, maybe it’s for the best. But I don’t think it would’ve been like once upon a Time in any way. Once upon a Time is not a bad show but it’s not like fables.
I wish they’d release the concept art of the 2018 game, I don’t know if this is true or not but I remember hearing blue beard would’ve been the main villain of the sequel
Back then Telltale are getting over ambitious. back then they should focusing on their actual good IP and make the plot more brances instead of making many games as much as possible without caring about quality.
@harivenkatm-e1861 I agree be better on HBO they would utilise the characters better. I wouldn't make it anime though I'd make it gloomy and colourful like witcher.
@Pacmanfan-po9rn yeah, dude, why do you think trailer at the end of the every episode promoting the next one is never accurate about the episode it promotes ?! It's than most people begun having questions.
Personally I think it could’ve been announced in order to achieve more funding. Though as the head of a small studio I know really well that once you’re squeezed for cash you can very rarely fix things.
Why did Telltale have to act like they were freaking Disney grabbing project after project why couldn't they just focus on The Walking Dead, The Wolf Amoug Us and Batman and then make up their own video games like how Naughty Dog made up Jak and Daxter for example! I'm sure they could have created some interesting stuff that it would get very popular in time I mean it would have been worth a try so that way they wouldn't have gone out of business in 2018 in the first place! 🤦
Maybe it was for the best that they cancelled the game, making a good story takes time... Personally, I imagined that the story would be centered on the winter season and the fables that surround it. In this context, the main enemy could have been Grýla, her Yule Lads and the Yule Cat (who I imagine as a were-cat, as opposed to Bigby), who have formed a child kidnapping and trafficking ring in Fabletown, or something like that... Just my thoughts lol.
I'm sorry, but I read a lot of Fables and the writing for the game far exceeded the source material in quality. After the 4th trade paperback I DNF'd the series.
On the same boat but like we seen shit like dead island 2 still make it out the door and that even turned out decent even tho I think it switched like between 4 developers and the current one literally reworked it. But again different game different developer. Telltale is basically going down the same path and even if it the game does come out it could still be a huge mess
The wolf among is probably the game i played the most out of all telltale games lol its their best game in my opinion 2nd place goes for the walking dead, and tales from the borderlands as well game of thrones but that one is already removed from all platforms its sad they stopped making games their last game for consoles it doesn't seem as cool
I mean, when someone takes inspiration from something, they shouldn't butcher the characters and main plot points of the story they're taking inspiration from. The point of working off another IP is to scoop up the fans, and gain more fans - not to piss the fans off and scare away new fans...

Personally I think they should have Bigby included in the Batman universe. They’ve crossed paths in the comics so it wouldn’t be surprising. Have it where Bigby is tracking a criminal into Gotham and once he turns into the Wolf it gets the attention of Batman mistaking him for a criminal himself
Batman season 3 will be hard to make if they ever will make it given the so many different endings of season 2 the best they can do is make a time skip and somehow make all your previous choices have little to no importance for the new season's story
