I just adore you! This is so helpful. I've seen youtubers who claim if you have to retwist every night, you're doing something "wrong." But yet I know from experience that in order for my hair to be moisturized and manageable, I need to retwist often, like every other night.
And while yeah, in a perfect world that wouldn't be necessary, the reality is, for some people's hair 1) it is, and 2) it doesn't take long! Fifteen minutes, or even 30 if it comes to it, isn't very long to spend every night on keeping your hair healthy. Because the reality is if you don't do that, then you will eventually spend that same amount of time - or more! - during wash day when you're doing much more detangling, etc... Thank you for this video!

BlakIzBeautyful Thank you for responding! Just trying to do my part, ie, sharing my experience. I think everyone should take the time to get to know their own hair - and if you discover things that differ from others' experiences, it doesn't mean you're wrong! You're just finding what works specifically for you.

I don't mind retwisting at night. You're right. It helps retain moisture and helps keep you style for longer between washes (7-10 days). I just retwist in bigger sections to save time. It's worth it for me. My hair is waist length and the thought of doing my hair 2-3 times a week is horrifying to me. LOL!

I do exactly what you do at night, but when I'm very tired, I do mini pineapples. If I do nothing, my hair is matted, dry and tangled.

Now since I started twisting every night...💕💕. I can go a week...and that's perfect for me...being I wash on the 7th day. Thank you, thank you. Wow I'm so amazed! FINALLY! I lock in all that moisture on wash day and now it can STAY LOCKED IN!! YAY! I'M THROWING MY HANDS UP IN THE AIR!

This is the best night routine 4C hair video I've seen. I have just began doing a routine and had so many questions that were answered from your video. I really must stretch my hair and train it every night or it refuses to do what I want. Plus my hair is about the same length as yours. Thank you so much, you have no idea how much your video helped me. Thank You!!!♥️♥️♥️😊

Hi Jenell. I find that retwisting at night is the best for my hair unless the next day is wash day. Sometimes I do have to lightly spritz my hair with water or a curl refresher first just on the ends and then twist just to kinda reactivate the product already in my hair.

I will be trying this method and the products you mention. I keep my hair twisted, but I have always wanted to know how to do the bang part, and here it is....yazzz! I do re twist my hair at night without a comb. I have Kinky, thick, tight coils, and it's so truth what you said if I don't re twist my hair I would loose curly definition, and will have a hot dry mess in the am. tfs

The last couple of months the routine I've been doing for my daughter (She's Elle's age but her hair is closer to your length) has been putting it in flat twists for half the week and then doing a twist out for the rest of the week. Her curl definition has been amazing with this method but it has been dry once I do the twist out. I haven't been retwisting at night so I think you've just solved my problem. Thanks!

My hair feels some type of way if I don't give it the attention it craves. plus I love the fresh curl definition which is why i dont mind twisting at night. I stopped bcos i wa afraid of too much manipulation ,otherwise i would twist it every night
what i have discovered is that the pineapple makes my hair dry and flat. i will go back to retwisting every night. i dont mind doingit and my hair loves me for doing it. You restored my faith

GIRL, you hair type is mine and everything you said is so true! Especially when I don't twist it at night...i can only go one day without twisting. Do you experience shedding when you are retwisting your hair throughout the week - I always have small curls (not full strands of hair) coming out.

Very helpful!! Thank you!! Your twists always look so juicy!!! The problem I have with re-twisting my hair is that the ends don't seal well on dry hair and the twists unravel.....So frustrating!! I end up having to mist my hair to dampen it and sometimes add product to seal. It makes re-twisting quite a long process and makes it feel like it takes almost as much time as the original twist-out. I'll definitely try your tips and technique! Thanks again!!

When I do medium size twists, the ends look the same way your first twist looks, a bit puffy at the end. What is the cause of this? Is it because both pieces aren't even in thickness or length?
