I agree! When you have Pulse Ox enabled during sleep mode, oh yeah, it is a Christmas tree flashlight! I do love the control wheel feature on the Garmin Instinct series!!!
Do all the Instinct Solars have the weird diagonal lines when you turn the backlight on? I just upgraded to the Solar from a non-Solar and my non-Solar doesn't have them (both have screen protectors on). I put a glass screen protector on as soon as a took it out of the box so maybe the glass protector creates some interference pattern with the solar glass. Or are they like that even without a screen protector?
How can you fix the problem with my Instinct's backlight, its set up to all keys and during activity but doesnt turn on except when you press the backlight button.

just for info, if you press double time the light button, torch turns on
On the 2X yes. This is the Instinct standard which does not have the torch (nor does the Instinct 2, just the 2X).
Sorry I wrote uncorrectly. If you double press light button on instinct 2/2s, flashlight turns on (not the Torch, my mistake)

To be honest the green heart rate monitor light is way more powerful than the flashlight on the instinct.

I go to wrist heart rate and turn the auto to off and back to auto it gives you a few seconds green led, which is a lot brighter hope this helps
