Alexa talked about it on Jericho's podcast. Apparently Sasha has it in her head that Alexa didn't grow up as a wrestling fan and therefore shouldn't be there. To be totally fair, I don't know that Bret and Shawn really began to hate each other until after the Wrestlemania 12 match. They've both acknowledged that they were pretty good friends in the early 90s and even in Wrestling with Shadows, you can kinda tell by the way Shawn was playing with Bret's kid that they had a good relationship. That points to Shawn and Bret getting along reasonably well at least some point in the kid's life before then. But also, as they've both said, they were so different as people but so alike as competitors. Watch the matches that these guys would call the worst of their careers (not including the ill-advised comebacks at Wrestlemania 26 and Crown Jewel, respectively). Those matches would all hold up incredibly well and probably be among the best matches of the year in WWF.
As someone who is hispanic and a wrestling fan I can confirm that we find that segment pretty funny because you can't imagine someone as tough, intimidating and scary as Brock dancing with a sombrero lmfao
I'm a fan of Charlotte, but her ego move at that ceremony was absolutely unlikeable. It broke a close friendship just because she thought winning over 10 singles titles in about 6 years wasn't enough to make her strong.

Instead, we got a glorified squash match that seemingly served only to bury the better wrestler in order to appease Lesnar's ego, with no real stakes behind it and no repercussion afterwards. It baffles me that people will endlessly complain about WWE main eventers supposedly burying people and knowing only four moves, yet they'll cheer for Lesnar and think that him boasting about using the same move over and over is an amazing gimmick.
It's weird, he's worked so well with guys like Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles and CM Punk and had very good matches with all 3. He had no problems selling for any of them, so I can only assume it was a personality clash with Ambrose that put Brock off. Still shouldn't lead to such a shitty match, mind you, just a shame that it went down like that.
