I haven't watched yet and I still have to comment- the X-Files is my all time favorite series, I cannot recommend it enough- , I'm thrilled that you've made this. (For those curious on the show, mainly the old series, but a little bit into the newer seasons as well- the two main characters Mulder and Scully have excellent on screen chemistry, never overdone, and they perfectly encapsulate the idea of Fides et Ratio, or faith and reason, being a man without religion who constantly seeks to believe in something supernatural, and a women of lay-Catholicism who bases most of her belief on the grounds of scientific observation. They complete, refine and perfect each others person over time- it's a great study, and fun and thrilling show)
You make me wanna watch the show again, it's such a comfort go-to for me
the revival had that amazing Were-monster episode and the Mandela effect one. season 9 and the rest of the revival is pretty forgettable bleh.
Mulder mostly leaving the show has me struggling to keep watching

Doggett is a great character who changes up the dynamic, which after how tiresome season seven was was much needed. of course it's hard to get used to the different dynamic, but I think if you take the episodes as they are it becomes much more enjoyable.

Scully's dialogue is actually spot on; you talk EXACTLY like she would on the show and you nailed her cadences and sentence pauses. You would need to either be a pretty long time fan of the show or to have studied her pretty intently to hit it that spot on.
I have always thought that Scully was one of the best written mystery/sci-fi/horror characters out there, to say nothing of being an excellent female lead written in a time where those were less common (but still around). The 90s really was a special era for film and TV (music too) - this is a great roleplay dude!
Gillian’s actually British 🇬🇧. British actors/actresses are very good at making themselves sound American 🇺🇸
I wouldn't say it was SPOT on. Her final conclusion about us wasn't just marsh gas.

Scully is such a comfort character for me! I really wanted to dress up as her for Halloween at work… but then I remembered where I work, and I realized my preschoolers would have no idea who I am lolol

my middle school english teacher was actually the person that got me into the x files! she would frequently play episodes in the classroom and use them as teaching examples

This is such a niche roleplay that I never in my life would have expected but actually I love it so much. Scully was so pretty and her voice was SO soothing and Erin fits her perfectly 😭

Personal headcanon moments in is that I’m visibly a cryptid and Scully is performing this very soothing interview in a sealed room while Mulder visibly freaks out on the other side of a one way mirror

I've never watched the X Files, but I absolutely love this video and I have already watched it a few times. The subtle music really adds to the mood, I miss it on the Spotify version
i used to listen to film scores back in the day to help me focus before i discovered asmr, so this combination of the two was so nostalgic and relaxing 🥹😌

I liked the T1000 seasons, but IMHO thought the revival seasons were stilted and unresolved.

the x files is such an important show to me, i can't even explain it. i rarely see any stuff like this, so you have no idea how happy this makes me and how much this means
Asmr with gentle music is so underrated.
It's really something when one of your longtime favorite ASMRtists takes on one of your favorite characters (and adolescent crushes if I'm being honest) from a show that was, frankly, an obsession for you for a good chunk of your teen years. X-Files ASMR will always be close to my heart.
While that may not be your actual hair, Erin, as a fellow redhead, you make a natural Scully! And the care and arrention to detail you always bring to set design, lighting, props, costuming, sound design, scripting, and of course acting adds up to a soectacular production. I especially love the FBI laminant! Just about the only thing missing is Scully's gold cross necklace, although I can understand not wanting to be perceived as sending a religious message by those less familiar with the character.
I would have loved to hear some soft spoken Scully voice, but dont get me wrong, the whispers were just lovely as well!

A Scully roleplay!! 💕💕💕 I love it. Always remind me of my cousin's squirrel named Scully because X Files was super popular at the time and I was so sad about not having a pet squirrel too. I'm so excited for this!! Also, your dog is really cute... The plastic envelope sound, I need it in my life, this is so wonderful, the investigation, the tingles, scully, x files, I love how detailed and focused people look when they're investigating, it's such a fascinating field and this is so well done, atmosphere and everything. Sorry about the essay on my excitement, I love the ability of investigators to put clues together and the wide range of knowledge and senses they have to use to figure out events and the world around them, like "these shoes couldn't have been here due to the coloration of this soil", it's so amazing
X-Files was my comfort show in grad school - how very appropriate that it should now join forces with my comfort ASMRtist.
You know, with that hair and general vibe of the rp, Erin could do a really good Jesse Faden from Control, especially with Alan Wake coming out soon.

I don't know about anyone else, but in the earlier seasons of The X Files, I always looked forward to the end when Scully typed up her report on the computer. They were my favorite parts.
