Really appreciated this, all the effort in the edits and taking time to explain the tools, sizing, steps. Thank you
Ive been looking for a walk through video on under stairs storage for months now, and this is better then I could’ve hoped for. Thank you for sharing your experience and your process. I’ll be tackling this project in a few weeks and this video has really gave me the confidence to know what to expect and look for. Thank you!
Geat video, mate. Is there any chance you can pop up a few links. For the screws, drawer runners, iron on edging, and your clamps for the fronts. Hope your going to do more videos like this. 👍
Thanks mate! I've put together a product list on Amazon - you can find it here - www.amazon.co.uk/shop/jjonescarpentry The drawer front clamps are from my store - we haven't got any in stock at the moment and they always sell out pretty quickly! But should be doing another batch in a few months. www.linkpop.com/dragonflyprint
Another tidy job 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛
Just what i needed! Thanks Mr Jones👍
Thank you for sharing, picked up some very useful tips.
that was great, loads of tips, so thank you. I am defiantly subscribed for some more.
Such a fantastic job! Standards are superb, great work mate
Done a couple of these in the past and done each one a different way! Looking forward to doing the next one as i’ve learned some good stuff of this Video! Keep it up mate 👏🏼
Hi fella, fantastic video, thank you for making & sharing. I really enjoyed your presentation style, with your relaxed & friendly delivery. Appreciated all the detail, tips & instruction. Thank you & all the best...
Very good video chap…👍👍👍
This was a great walkthrough! Thanks for taking the time to film and share your process 🙌
Thank you for sharing so many useful tips! Really enjoying your channel!
Love your work!
Great video 👏🏼👏🏼
Another fantastic video, full of amazing tips and tricks, can't wait for the next one. Thank you sir.
quality👌
Great job and great video
really helpful thanks John. One thing that I really don't like about the pocket screws is the tendency to pull / push one piece of the carcass when they grip. The clamps are a bit of a faff and not fool proof. I have to resort to using dominos to align (like you do with the biscuits). If anyone has any tips to get pocket hole joins flush, would love to hear them!
Brilliant
Very enjoyable video !!!!! thank you
thnx for this!
Brilliant video. Thanks for sharing 👍
excellent build really impressed
Solid content pal,
New sub earned.
awesome stuff! So helpful with your skills and knowledge, thank you for inspiring , keep on G💪
Lovely work ! I am.kin to see how do you paint the front panels. Thank you ! Carry on ! 🫱🫲
Great video, thanks.
I’m building one of these soon but making everything on site as I don’t have a workshop.
I used to do exactly the same before I had my workshop mate. Sometimes it's actually easier!
Useful video, enjoyed it, liked and subscribed 👍🏻 I've used the Screwfix Confirmat screws in the past but if you ever need to disassemble the piece I find half of them shear off, I've recently bought some genuine Häfele ones and they're significantly better.
Oh that's good to know! I'll definitely give them a try. Thanks for letting me know!
Great job looks great . You might consider a make and fit vidio nice to see the finished work.
I did do a short - it's a lot harder to do a full length video of fitting as I'm in the customer's home and there's not much space. Hopefully one day I'll be fitting one in an empty property where I'll have a bit more space and time to film it.
Great video, just in case you did not know CMT do a 6mm grooving blade for the table saw, for doing the drawer bases
Oh really I did not know that. That would make things so much faster thanks for letting me know
What was the name of the screws please? And are they specifically for MDF? Thanks!
Great video!
looks good are they 600 wide cabs or 500mm
Great video - very informative - thanks for sharing. Is the tabletop edgebander the iTECH EB401? I have the virutex edgebander, but it's a nightmare on narrow pieces to the point that I zinsser bin and sand them - I'd love a reasonably priced alternative (which the itech appears to be)
Yes mate, it is the iTech. I also have the virutex edgebander and was having the same problems as you. Now, I prefer the iTech.
Lovely that mate! do something similar myself but picked up more than a few good tips watching your method!
Where do you get your paintable edging from? Cheers.
Thanks mate, glad to have helped! I've put together a product list here - www.amazon.co.uk/shop/jjonescarpentry - the paintable edging is on that list :)
Great video, thanks for sharing it. One question, you seem to be a Dewalt man for your power tools, how come you didn't go for their track saw?
Hi mate, yes - I'm a massive Dewalt fan! But unfortunately their track saw is not as precise as it needs to be. I have got one and it's brilliant for doing general carpentry - and it actually has more power than the Festool - but the precision is not quite there for what I want it for.
Hi and thanks for this, I'm going to try the Blum Tip On with some drawers and had a question - I think you set the groove for the drawer bottom up about 18mm from the base of the drawer? Wouldn't this provide enough clearance for the Tip On housing? I see you later put the drawer runners on the carcass 10mm up as well. Basically a bit confused about all those dimensions! Any help appreciated, I'll go and have a play around with some scrap too to see if I can get my head into it!
Hi. Brilliant video. Do you have the link to the router bit used for the round over after edge banding please. Thanks
Sure! I've put together some lists of the tools I use - you can find it here - www.amazon.co.uk/shop/jjonescarpentry
Nice work, thanks for taking the time to document it all. How many hours was this would you say? Liked & Subbed 👌
Thanks for your support! This one took 3 days but that's because I was filming it. They usually take me 2 days.
Hello dear
I'm interested in your company
My self Muhammad Ismail from Pakistan but I'm working in Dubai now as Carpenter 🪚 I have a 6 years experience in the gulf... Great 👍👍👍
Hi john great another great video, could you give any costing on the under stairs storage installed would be in your area. Fran in IRE
Hi Frank, sure - this one was £1500
Lay the MDF down when routering the edge John, so your not balancing on 18mm. Gives the same edge 😅
Hi mate! If I lay it down flat, it doesn't give it the same roundover and sometimes the tape will tear out - this is why I do it this way.
Lovely work mate, how long did it take you to make this?
This one was 3 days - but that was because I was filming it. I can normally do them in 2 days.
Do you have a list of the items you use and recommend? Great video
I do! I've created a list here - www.amazon.co.uk/shop/jjonescarpentry
Awesome video, can you put links to the screws you use in the decription, I rely on auto captions, but for brand names they don't always come out correctly. Many thanks for an in depth video.
Confirmat screws from screwfix
@@noskills9577 brilliant, thanks so much
@@DeafMaker Sorry - just seeing this! Yes, as above, they're confirmat screws from Screwfix
Nice tidy work love the build. Quick question regarding the tool vest. I assume its the snickers vest. How do you find it? And i think you are a similar size to myself, what size did you go for as it has a little bit of adjustment built in if i understand. Thank you in advance keep up the good work.
Hi mate, yeah it’s the snickers all round vest.I absolutely love it. I’ve never been a tool belt fan. I think it’s a medium - but I’m not too sure if it’s a small. I can double check for you
Great video, thanks for taking the time. Where do you buy the edging from please. Do you do any prep work to the mdf before you edge it? Thank you👍
@@jonesinteriors633 thats great thanks. Im struggling a bit having two tool bags on feels too cumbersome when in and out of houses, bending down etc. Thought the vest might be a better option with a few bits on my chest so to speak. Bit undecided whether i need the small or the medium considering the adjustment. Usually wear a sweatshirt so it would be going over that. Loved the build some good details thanks for sharing the tutorial
@@Manxpm Thanks for your support! I've put together a product list on Amazon - you can get the paintable edging from there - www.amazon.co.uk/shop/jjonescarpentry I don't do any prep work to the MDF before I edge it.
Are you just cutting your angles at 45 or are they custom for stairs John thanks
Hiya mate can I ask where you got your tool apron & if you have a link to buy one
Thanks in advance
I'm wearing the Snickers all round toolvest - Screwfix is the best price at the moment on them
Might of missed it.. do you have to set the drawers forward in the carcass for the push to open or does the catch set it for you?
I bring all my fillers forward by 3mm so the push to open latches will work
@@jonesinteriors633 cheers John
Mate what drill driver are you using?
Hey mate, I'm using the Dewalt 12v screwdriver
How much would something like this cost? Can we discuss on email or call?
