Watching this video even so long after it was made is still inspiring and comforting. Really appreciate the work you do on your channel, and the way you make it clear to people that whatever works for them is a success. Very inspiring.
Even in these dark and uncertain times, there are always people who can transport us to a good place and make us feel better. Thank you Geek Gamers for helping me to feel better, even for the duration your videos last! Keep up well and let everything go well for you, family and friends!
Miguel Salgueiro Thank you so kindly for those words. I was hoping in some small way that a video could bring some enjoyment. I know I have looked to others for the same. Thanks for being a subscriber and be well yourself
What an awesome start. I will definitely tune in for the next chapter should you find time for it. Thanks for once again starting my imagination on an interesting journey.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. My head has not been in this kind of playing space right now with everything going on but hopefully I will get back to it someday.
Loved the show - Would be great to see more of the Hero Kids system solo play story - Hope you can pick it up again 😀 Ty ty for all ya do - So many ideas - So much help - So much fun - Ty ty 🥰
Great video! I'm just getting into solo RPG in addition to my usual, 4-people RPG party session. More so as a relaxing, therapeutic, story-telling, meditative, imagination stimulating activity, which I in no way compare with the multi-person RPG experience, but I really enjoy this. It's like storytelling but the random elements and rolling of the dice create unexpected twists and turns. Have looked into a solo RPG called Ironsworn? I'm just getting into it :) They have the pdfs free to download on their website. Anyway, great video. Liked!
Welcome to the solo RPG club... and my channel.. I have hundreds of RPG vids (including a bunch on Ironsworn). You might want to look at my solo RPG playlist, with over 100 vids including a bunch on journaling games. And for Ironsworn in particular I've done 7 vids. This is the first one: ua-cam.com/video/IN-hld-_r1A/v-deo.html
I have a copy and I can't get past the incredibly poor layout of the book. I've not taken the time to physically bookmark it for ease of use. I love the way the game procedurally creates the map though!
@@keerincrabbattle There are resources for a GMs screen that make it a lot easier (no flipping). I actually have a few videos on my channel showing it off.
@Geek Gamers Have you heard of a computer program called Tabletop Simulator? It is great for when you don't want to deal with physical games, and want the benefit of everything being in one place. You can also play multiplayer with other friends.
Another great vid. This sounds very interesting and like it could be a fun game. I hope that we get to see it. In the meantime, I hope that you and your family stay safe and healthy.
FeralGamersInc RPG Thank you so much. I’m glad to hear that. No I have never published an RPG and it’s not something I aspire to do. I have toyed with the idea of writing a book of solo RPG tips however.
Lost my first summer job in a hotel due to corona quarntine and now i'm just sitting at home doing nothing and i'm getting depressed. Guess i'll try some solo RPG
Hi! I hope that you and your family (and extended UA-cam family) are staying safe & healthy! If prayers & good wishes can help get all of us through this, know that you have them.
@@GeekGamers01 Thanks, Geek-woman. You're a good egg. I look forward to many more explorations of ... wherever you take me. I'm always up for an adventure! Especially from a New Yorker (unless I am mistaken). I consider myself an Elmont guy, even though I was dragged kicking & screaming (literally) to Westchester. It was probably best for me, but... I was the big first grade fish... and I miss my first grade girlfriend, Sherry. "A lot of water under the bridge, Miss Ilsa...."
Michael Melen Yes, I’m Manhattan-born. Westchester’s quite fine too. ;) Thanks for your support of the channel. I appreciate knowing my content finds its audience.

You had me at three cups of dice and a knitting needle!
I have to say GG, you would be the one person best to be quarantined with. Nobody would ever be bored in your house! :)
boltimuss I will be sure to tell my family someone thinks that. ;)
Your videos have been so helpful, and have really helped bring a lot of joy into my life. Thank you!
Nathan Helmkamp Thank you so very much. I appreciate hearing that.
I got unbroken a few months ago because of this channel. Not because of any advertisements, just because you got me into solo rping
Mister Goats Hope you liked it more than I did!
I love the way you repurpose multiple games and mix and match rules on the fly. Great vid - inspiring solo gaming.
Thanks so much!

Stay well, my internet friend. :)
To you as well, my friend :)
Four Against Darkness is one of the most complete Solo RPGs I’ve come across.
Unscripted & Unchained RPG Review I recently obtained the pdf but have yet to play. Definitely on my list!

Poley The Polar Bear I have, yes. It’s cool but I don’t like any technology/screens when I play board games.

Andy Simmons Thank you, and you too. Yes, I was enjoying how this was developing and hope to get back to it someday.
I've got plenty of time to play a solo game!
Now is the time of the Solo gamer! Stay safe, love your stuff!
