They oversee the entire procurement process, from identifying and sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts and ensuring that orders are fulfilled on time and within budget. Procurement managers must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as they are often tasked with finding ways to reduce costs and improve efficiency. They must also be excellent negotiators and have the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers. In addition, procurement managers must be well-organized and detail-oriented, as they must keep track of a large number of contracts and orders.
