Wooden 21FE Outrigger Kit Gets Paint, Hardware, ESC & Motor!

- I'm truly excited about this rc boat build!
Alot of time & effort went into the paint & overall setup.
For the esc we're using the Flycolor Kraken 180A
& the Motor is a 4074 Leopard 2650kv
This will be a great 4S setup & possibly 5S.
I still have a few finishing touches to do, along with decals. So I'll wait til it's completely finished before I show it finished.
If your interested in building a Rigger, this kit has excellent instructions to follow & will eat up about 3 weeks of your time if you don't rush the process. I opted for full on epoxy construction which did take longer than CA glue, but this should make it stronger.
Stay tuned for the next video when we finish the JAE21FE & take it out for her first maiden run!

There's so much room in this tub, compared to the shrimp! I like the purple and the matching hardwares. Looking forward to the maiden!
You can velcro your receiver to the bottom of the inside of the lid and then take that little antenna out the lid
Looks damn good, just finished my 21GT nitro. I found during body work and paint work i used oversized Qtips stuff in the boom tube holes works great for keeping stuff out of them.
I run those 4 channel receivers and I've range tested them pretty damn far and I've not had one glitch. I was surprised. And that was with the antenna down. I told you about that stinger. It will only get worse and you'll keep adding trim. It's just a bad design. I run my esc up front as well but if it balances out then it shouldn't matter. I love the purple and i say 58mph
They are great for speed but they are tail heavy I put my esc up front to balance it better.
@@jamesatkinson7517 yea, im waiting to test cg & the esc. Bigger motor will need a bigger esc & probably go up front. All in time
Polyester primer covers all things.
I’m up to paint . Stumped on what primer.Any brand in particular sealer coat is epoxy finish .

@michaellidis1148 i use Dupli-color grey sandable primer. Wait 24hrs, wet sand to 1000g. Then paint also dupli-color. Allow 48hrs to dry, then i use their 1K clear. I've done 3 boats this way, $65 for 3-4 cans & you have a nearly professional looking paint job!

@@H2oMechanic2RC that is why tape pulls it up. Use any 2 part primer its much less prone to that. 2k urethane primers are about 10:1 coats thicker than a rattle can. Polyester primer is a out 30x thicker. So 1 coat of it equals 30 coats of lacquer primer. Allowing you much deeper sanding and biting while being as smooth as possible.
When you look price per coverage the duplicolor whatever is actually the most expensive. A $50 quart of 2k goes literally 10x further for instance.
