      I have a pivot table test for a job the job is measuring call center input/output efficiency with pivot tables and vlookups..the pivot table example they gave has dates on the left column (6/7/2014-6/20/2014) and has subtotals (i.e. "1-3 days total", "4-7 days total", "8-10 days total", and finally "11-14 days total". can't figure out how to install subtotals in 3-4 day increments on pivot table? help.

    As someone who has used pivot tables extensively in the past 3 years (and frankly has led me into the position I am in today), it's great to see simple things like tabular layout to rename columns in a pivot table. Before I was F2-ing into the cell to change the name, but now I know a better shortcut. Thanks for the video!

    You know Mike, I've started referring to you as MG, more out of a feeling of endearment towards you...all because of the way you conduct your sessions.
    "Brrrp....look at that...how amazing...!". I can F-E-E-L the emotion myself when you say that...!
    Over the last few years, your channel has been my go to source for anything in Excel.
    When I face some issue while working on Excel data, the first thought that crosses my mind is "Let's look this up in MG's channel...!". And I can't recall a single occasion when I returned without an answer.
    Thanks for everything MG...!

      did you hear about QlikView? it is a software that works this way: if you click a field name it highlights all the relevant records based on a formula or criteria you specify, this software has an ever powerful ability to summarize and analyze data in no time, here in Excel 2013, it was able to perform the same analysis in no time and effort, I think that gives excel one plus point over Qlikview, is that it accumulates data too, not just analyze them

    • @excelisfun
      @excelisfun  10 років тому +1

    Hi Michael really enjoyed this Video. I only have Excel 2007 and have been using Spreadsheets for over 10 years starting with Lotus123 which i thought was better than Excel 2003. It now looks like Spreadsheets are getting even closer to Database which is great as Spreadsheets are more flexible and Databases(Access) are more structured meaning it takes a lot more time to get a end report, therefore Spreadsheet are faster :)
    Many Thanks :)
