- Another interesting power tool from the Portable Electric Tool Company. My brother at the WhatTheRust channel found this and sent it over to me. I restored a similar tool under the Drill Master name but this one looks to be a slightly better design. Can we get this 70 year old drill running again? Let's get busy!

My dad just gave me one of these that was my grandfather's. Lots of blue sparks and that wonderful ozone smell!
Hilarious! That pretty much describes it. Did your grandfather actually use it a lot? These seem to be very light duty tools.
That came together well and I like the new work shop.
Thanks! The workshop was years in planning and has been a lot of work getting it ready but it's really awesome now.
Good job and it looks like your supervisor approved
Thanks! Yes, Mugsy is getting comfortable hanging out in the workshop.
Few tools are more famous than the Skil 77 worm drive saw but I had never heard of a Model 77 drill.
The Skil Model 77 is superior to this drill in every way. :)
Great restoration. A nice piece of history.
Stay safe from the weather coming your way. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
Thanks! Yes, this storm looks like it's going to be trouble. My home is over 100 years old though so she's seen some big storms before and weathered them.
The Drill resto was a good time to see. I can be as involved in your time as I want -& w/o issue makes it really good to see. Thanks (I'd $ if I could; save the trip). I think Helene might be an assist re Drill/Saw, parts of being back in black. Lotta work down there.
I did 13K the 1st 2 weeks after Andrew (7162+5K) & a good time to do it w/a Brand New 3/4T/LBd to pay for! I was worried a 🐄 🎶>💥 on the new paint (Truck).👌
Thanks! It's going to be a crazy couple of days down here with this storm for sure.
The drill came out great. Are you going to restore the case also ? Hope your safe from the storms.
Thanks! I will be restoring the case to keep with it. Made it through the storm with no major damage. Town is in rough shape. No power, cell service is very weak.
Gotta admit, I wasn't sure that would run, lol.
Yes, these were not a great design but so simple they usually will work.
Have you ever ever seen a 4/speed hand drill ?
Nope! That would be radical. Who made them?
Pennington is the name of the drill. I’ll send you some photos. You’ll get a kick out of it.
@@floridarusticrepairs only I don’t know how to send you any photograph from here
I’ll send you a couple just as soon as I figure out how to do it
@@LarryParks-d5t You can send me a message via floridarusticrepairs@gmail.com. I'd love to see it.
