That was wild to see Orville walk in to The Roost! I have only ever had 2 NPCs in The Roost since 2.0. Resetti was sitting in the corner once and Daisy Mae had a cookie after her shift on Sunday. I don't time travel, I don't amiibo, I am just trying to relax and enjoy the pace of the game. And that is why I adore your content! Thank you.

My first one was Isabelle, and then I actually got Kappn. I think it’s random who and when you get an NPC visit you.

I would recommend the group stretching, you get miles & secret items. It can’t be more than a minute lol

Wait you get items? Never got anything out of it. Is it like Brewster where you have to do it multiple times to get them? You know like the Brewster Cookie and beans.
Just a tip; with the Early Bird ordinance Nook’s opens at 7am and Able Sisters opens at 8am! I typically play between 6am-9am so this is super helpful for me. 🎉🎉
I also play from 6 AM to 9 AM this information realy helps thanks 😁
To add to your daily routine for HHA *spoilers don't read if you don't want any!*
- climb behind lottie's spot and pick all the glowing moss and vines. They respawn daily! Great for the new DIYs
- talk to the teacher daily for a pink or white (x1) plumeria start!
- visit the cafe daily to buy new food items with poki
- visit the resturant daily and talk to the head chef for a cooking DIY!
- once you unlock the ATM, if you're low on poki, you can exchange bells for poki at a daily exchange rate
- Daily turnips from Joan at the hospital
- you can order 5 items from the HHP catalog with Wardell (also 5 from nooks shopping so, can order a total of 10 items daily combined!) to help expand your main catalog

My daily routine has definitely doubled in time since the update, and I don't always get to HHP every day. But it's been so fun working towards the new Nook Miles Achievements and collecting all the new items
Same I was kinda feeling stressed about HHP cause I kept wanting to go everyday to be able to buy everything in the shop but finally I unlocked Wardell having the catalog, I didn't know I could unlock that but I'm relieved now cause I don't feel the need to go to HHP everyday anymore 😆
Yall if u ever come across a lion that wants their vacation home designed like a kingdom do it! He has the castle items and once u unlock the catalog from Wardell u can order them! :)

I’m really disappointed that we can’t get “hairstyle” changes from Harriet anymore. I like it when she does my hair. 😭🤣

@@onefourthhuman Once you unlock all 7 of Harriet's styles, she no longer has the blanket salon setup and just walks around the island with not much to do. No more hair styling. ):
@@neocelestia that's sad! :( I know it's effectively pointless when you can change your hairstyle yourself anytime, but it would be nice if they'd let her keep cutting your hair just for the fun of it. Pretty sad that shes just doomed to wander around aimlessly forever after you learn all her hairstyles!
I recommend group stretching since it unlocks some cute items and some new reactions. It's also cute to see your villagers and NPC's doing little exercises. It takes about 2 minutes I think
One of my favorite, like small little thing they introduced is the group stretching, I’m not at all very athletic irl, but I do it every morning. ITS SOOOO CUUUTE!
My little darlings stretching is really cute, and ofc Isabelle’s training outfit is really adorable and I love it.
It makes me feel productive.
And then directly after I go for a cup of coffee at the roost.
It’s such a small detail that I love so much. I know it hasn’t gotten as much attention as it deserves, but still it’s really cute.
fr! i always stretch after i complete my animal crossing morning routine/tasks. stretching in animal crossing is literally the only that that motivates me to get out of bed & start my real life morning routine
it's nice seeing ppl actually go through islands even if they're pretty 'boring' c: i've seen many ppl just leave like hello? materials???
this is also pretty much what i do too minus hhp since i don't have it ;( lol
The lag has gotten worse. I have the digital version which has the lowest load times. Load times when entering and leaving buildings were about 4-8 seconds on average. I have seen loads take as long as 12-20 seconds since the 2.0 update. Doesn't happen everytime. The game has a lot to calculate when populating the outisde world. I am also noticing dropped frames / stutters after decorating the area. (I do not fill every block). Though I have embraced a more open area with a redesign and haad no real performance increase.
It's still super annoying 😭
i dont even have more than 10 items placed on my island and it still lags, im so disappointed but good always comes with bad :(
Yeah when I start heading to my cafe area it always lags a lot because I have to much items there I guess? Idk. I really hope one day they come out with a switch pro. Maybe that can up the performance on this game.
Now that you mention it, I have noticed longer loading screens. The odd thing that I keep noticing lag is Blathers, when I wake him up sometimes he's going in slow motion at first
I agree! My lag has also been becoming worse even on my pc, despite having full bars on wifi with a router. Maybe they’ll fix it soon i hope :,D
I'm actually happy you mentioned the lag since I had a problem with it ever since I first started to terraform my island. For me, it was a long time ago before the 2.0 update and it's still happening on my island. I wish there was a way they could fix this so it doesn't happen but I don't know. I thought I was the only one experiencing this lol
I feel like everyone with a ton of items outside experience this issue. I do too. I feel like the only fix for this would be a switch pro release. You know a better performance from a new console I feel like would help it.
I love how different and similar our routines are! I’m loving this new update and I’m finally enjoying this game again☺️
The off-season islands are good for off-season fishing & diving. A lot of recipes require fish from different seasons and some recipes will even trigger when you catch certain creatures. I do the daily stretch because there are associated Nook Miles goals for it and you get bonus exercise items as you hit stretching milestones. The stretch takes just a couple minutes and it's fun and cute to see all the villagers and NPC's exercising. :)

Damn I wish this was my morning routine. My first hour of playing is dedicated to just the gift exchange between my villagers & visiting the shops 😂
Glad I'm not the only one noticing much more lag on my island ! Not sure if 2.0 is causing it but it's definitively happening on my island even if it's not filled with stuff
Even if it's not filled with stuff? That concerns me, I alway sthought it had to do with how much items/flowers/etc were placed. Ugh! Definitely annoying!

I don't think there's a set pattern for NPC's walking into the Roost. I've only ever seen Tommy walk in so far! The only set one I've seen is Daisy Mae will be at the counter after 12 on Sundays! Which is so cute that she goes for a cookie after work!
my daily routine has changed and isn’t as linear as it used to be, but i honestly love it! it used to feel rlly grindy and i found myself with no inspiration to do anything afterwards. i also bought the HHP but haven’t touched it yet, i decided i wouldn’t until i felt i’d exhausted/gotten on top of everything else, to avoid feeling overwhelmed. i think i’ll prob start it in a few weeks!
Tip for Happy Home Paradise crossers: Make sure to buy items from Wardell’s shop! 3 reasons.
1.) If you don’t have them already in paradise, They become available to use in your home designs.
2.) If you don’t have them on your home isle, they add to your catalog.
3.) Once you buy enough items from him, He opens up orders which allows you to purchase any items you have available to use in Paradise designs to use for yourself on your home isle! :)
I’ve had Don in my cafe twice. Orville once, and most recently Blathers came by. Also, if you do the stretching, you can unlock special reactions after a while.
these videos are helping me be a lot less burnt out while playing animal crossing, ive been doing a lot more casual dailies instead of worrying about terraforming when i have no inspiration :)
I am so glad you pointed out the lag, it’s been bugging me so much and I had no idea why it was happening. Hopefully they’ll fix that up soon

He always time travels, especially for this update. I'm sad that I'm not the representative and he's not listening to me😔

But thank you so much for this video, it was much needed, I was starting to feel a little overwhelmed with everything being released so quickly so it’s nice to have a sort of break down of it.
My dailies are pretty much the same as the yours, just not necesserely in that order 😅
One other thing I do before flying off to work is to double check my Nook Miles Plus and see which ones I can complete for those bonus miles
Love how you play at 5:00 AM. That's actually a time I save my game or 6:00 PM, because of the way the Island lights/sky are and the music 😉

The “to go” coffee gives you 3 energies
And the group exercise gives you a work out uniform after 3 sessions

11:00 You can freaking move your items within your pockets??!! Do you know what I have been going through to keep my stuff organized?? Good lord, this game needs a helluva lot more tutorials/tips.
Just as an added note: While the Sahara, Leif, and Kicks shops only refresh on monday at harv's island, they still have a chance to show up to your island during the week (depending on when they last showed up) so I'd still recommend keeping at eye out for them to visit (or pay attention to Isabelle's announcements) , as when they do they will have a different selecting than they did at harvs island that week (and sahara will still do her ticket for rugs deal).
I was ready to go close my game on Saturday night after K.K. Concert, but decided to go have a last cup of coffee with Bruster and guess who was there after his show 😳😲😁 It was awesome visiting with him in the Roost ♥️

I have noticed that too .with the lagging .and i dont have alot of stuff out just the regular stuff like street lights and benches and some other stuff .
i've been using reece a lot because now with every regular item i get i wonder "can i customize that??" and i go and check and I CAN and that makes me very happy lol. Also YES, I've definitely dealt with lag.

yes to the lag!!!! I thought it was my joy cons but I calibrated them and it was fine!! but yes ive been expecting the lag.
I’m getting lag in my plaza area. Granted I have my hydroids displayed there and mystery bags on the floor. But with the maple leaves falling it makes it worse sometimes
@Maverick Lanzerotti it’s just recent. Plus the gyroids don’t move unless you’re near them I’ve learned. So it’s not that terrible is just if there’s a catchable leaf do I really notice

ALWAYS CHECK THE ROCKS. So often they are all bell rocks.
If Kicks, Lief or Redd visit your island, their inventory changes when they visit and then after they return to Harvs. I haven’t been visited by Sahara yet, so I can’t verify her inventory also changes.
The lag is real, I only really notice it when I’m running, but it trips me up when walking also, thought it was my switch since I had gotten a new one
I thought it was cause I was using the switch lite but I’m glad other people are saying it too, I was gonna transfer back to my main switch, sounds like it won’t fix it :/ guess I saved my time
I have two consoles and the lag is equally as bad on either one, so definitely a problem with ACNH not the console itself. BOTW plays fine for me.
My version of bad luck is catching nothing but sea bass, black bass, and olive flounders. What a nightmare! 😨😨

I found carrots on an island on a boat tour, and I've had Leif selling them, but I can't remember if that was on my island or Harv's island.
Right where Orville is standing you can get a coffee to go which will take up 3 food slots
Fun fact, once you get the to go option of brewsters coffee, you can get coffee twice a day. Once as a to go and once at the roost
You can get many to go cups they are just 300 bells but keep sitting down every day for a cup at the counter because Brewster gives you gifts

You can plant a potato, tomato, pumpkin, etc. It will be that plant and grow more.

I restarted my island right when 2.0 came out 😭 I missed so much
I think it would be cool if the coffee could give you 5 or so points to your strength meter(that thing you get when you eat fruit) if you choose certain ingredients. Otherwise if you just like drinking coffee, you can choose something else and have no effects.
It started lagging pretty bad for me in some places. I don’t have that much stuff on my island.

I actually have been experiencing a lot of lag ever since early November. It gets bad when I walk past big items, or alot of items that are really close to each other lol i thought i was the only one xD
Ive noticed lag too, though i've also had issues with the servers as since the update i cant really..visit anyone without a communication error. even if i'm right next to the router in my house..
You get stuff from stretching, with the first 5 times the next day you will get a letter in the mail with a gift (and more not sure how many)
Actually, there are some rewards for doing the group stretching exercises daily.
I'm glad someone feels like I do when it comes to Katrina and the bad luck 😭 Once I found out about the purification process and the good luck gift that follows the next day, I actually started hoping for it lol
Whenever I get bad luck for that that day (tripping etc.) I'm always torn between buying it off for the item or just let hilarity ensue for that day
The best new island I got to enjoy had stars when you hit the rocks. I want to go back to that island again! Can you get summer fish (like sharks) if you hit a summer island? I need those to finish my collection.
I had one giant cicada that I scared away when I was there as I wasn't expecting it! And I suspect it was the one I had not collected. Oops.

I do find the lag/load times are longer! Especially if I have an ordinance in place for some reason, ugh.
