absolutely NOT a bargain! you could get the exact same audio quality and interoperability for a fraction of the cost with... literally any other non-bose device. it's so sad how you older folks don't realize how badly you're being scammed by bose. this stuff is egregiously overpriced and just... bad. the connectivity tech inside the dock that the speaker sits on could be the size of a postage stamp, built INTO the speaker, and cost basically nothing extra, but bose makes it this way on purpose to make it seem premium, but it's not. it's maddening how scummy and scammy this is

Just got off a long call with Bose in the UK call center, 100 times better than their call center in the Phillipines. After trying everything with Tech guy he decided that the bottom part of the Bose4 may be faulty so I am sending it back for repair. Its not responding to blue tooth. I only connect that Wave through blue tooth not Soundtouch

Also, I'm considering getting a set of Sennheiser 600 cans so as to enjoy it without bothering my (apartment) neighbors. Would this Bose system have good sound via using such headphones? Yeah fuck. I've bought the shitty analog cables red and white and then that into a single 3.5 mm jack into the aux in on the wave 4. But I'm trying desperately to change the sound on the wave 4 to aux and there is no instructions on how to do that. Bose need to include a aux in button on their remote. I'm fucking hate you have to read the manual to understand how to use it. It should be intuitive and it's not.
This radio is so expensive and it doesn’t even have an equalizer when I listen to talk radio I love to lower the base because it sounds better and I want to bring up the Other levels and tweak it. It does have a bluetooth as well. This Soundtouch though is fantastic as it acts as its own streaming device without the need for crappy bluetooth. So you can pick a song from Spotify for example and use it as your wake up alarm. No bluetooth needed The only people who'd find this difficult are old people. I set this up in about five minutes yesterday and works awesome.
On the remote, press and hold ALARM SETUP until “SETUP MENU” appears on the system display. Use the TUNE/MP3 buttons to find the “BASS” setting in the setup menu. Use the TIME +/- buttons to select the desired bass setting.
It would be a lot more effective if you "can" the stupid background music when you're demoing a stereo speaker system. We can't hear the system you're advertising!

Fuck this Bose wave 4 piece of shit. All I want to do is paly the sound from my tv. I've bought the red and white cable that goes to one jack. I've put that into the AUX IN on wave 4. There is now Ave to choose AUX IN on the wave 4. Fucking hate this piece of shit.
