I long to support your vote wholeheartedly . . . .but that pesky Travis Tritt version of Burnin' Love from the Honeymoon In Vegas soundtrack keeps getting in the way

I just revisited that Travis Tritt version of Burnin' Love and Ya - you are correct . . . .this IS the best ever Elvis cover outside of Andy Kaufman {rip}
and "technically" , on that album , Robin may have sang {however serendipicially } 'better' on "The Flame", and he did so over the years on quite a few cheezy songs that went nowhere for them. But this was their most "polished" album ever production and engineering- wise . . . . . . and Zanders sounded twice as natural as the King himself from start to end. It's one thing to out-copy a legend . . . .but it is quite another to out-character them. But he did here.

I honestly believe Elvis would have approved of this. It was new rockabilly circa 1988, a year that had a lot of good songs came out.
Elvis would have been the first to applaud and maybe would have had a solo during the performance. OMG I absolutely love❤ this video. I turned 79 on July 1 and still rock out to these absolutely fabulous groups. 🐱

I.M.O Cheap Trick are one of the top 40 greatest rock bands of all time...Robin Zander has an amazing voice...and the group knocked this tune right outta the ballpark...Elvis himself would've been quite proud.

@@hellsunicorn I bought a Technics Hi-Fi system with separate CD player in November 1988.The system was £300 and the CD was £170.My weekly wage was £140 with an extra £40 for Saturday or Sunday or £80 for both.I have used the Technics almost daily for nearly 33 years....and it still sounds great.I got to chose two free CD's from the Hi-Fi Dealer(who are still trading),and chose '...and justice for all' by Metallica and 'Hysteria' by Def Leppard....Regards,Starman.
@@CamperVanPersie That sounds about right, back in 88’ in the states a system like that ran about $600-$700. I was a kid at the time so everything I had was either on cassette or vinyl.
I saw these guys play outdoors on the Maine State pier in 2015 and they were fabulous... I also saw a lot of gorgeous women my age who reminded me of all the cuties who never dated me in high school when this music came out....🤣😂
I remember seeing this song on Mtv. It was really something. A nice remake, kinda like quiet drive's remake of time after time. CTs guitarist Rick Nielsen is one of the GOATs.
So true. Rick and all the others are spectacular musicians. A fan since they started, I've always said Cheap Trick has to be one of the most underappreciated bands of all time... and, of course, well within the "GOAT" realm.

I've never understood why people have such a hard time knowing when to use "you're" vs "your", it's not rocket science.

I saw these guys on their dream police tour. It was like I was listening to the album, they were so perfect. and just as exciting. yup. they are too perfect. NO stage presence or something. This is my favorite from them. oh. There *is* always "gonna raise hell".

I was singing this song out of the blue today before work and then I come home and look up a random song that I find out is by a band called Cheap Trick and now they are covering the song that popped into my head earlier. Amazing how things work in the world if you set your mind right.

Always loved Tom’s 12 string bass sound since I first saw them in 1977. But I honestly think Petersson’s best sounding was the one he used in the late 90’s. His Chandler 12 string bass made by Chandler guitars in San Francisco
Just found out their song Mighty Wings is one that would floor any Street Fighter 2 fan. These guys are so damn underrated to this day and I think that's exactly how they like it.

Yep ,this video was my intro to the song as a little kid. I would watch this and other rock videos on Saturday evenings , with this being one of the few I can remember at all to this day. I didn't know the band's name and I incorrectly thought they were saying "don't be cool" , but I can sure recall the coolest part of the video where they paused for a few seconds before continuing .
