That little train is exceptionally cool. If I was rich, I'd have to buy a huge estate just so I could have something like to ride around it on. Great video.
With a fowler tender as well.👍
An incredible feat of engineering.
Such a gorgeous model. I’d love to head over to your place on your ‘play days’ 😁. Do the occupants of the other units not mind a car park full of track or is this a weekend thing. I’d give my eye teeth for a decent sized garden to run one of these in.
Love the cab interior. 👍
A stunning model!!!!
Is this a model of princess Elizabeth?
The amount of tinkering just to get it started
Awesome but now we need a full size 8706
❤️
Would somebody please explain to me how the valve gear on the princess royal works?
On the GNR A1's you have the 3 cylinder conjugating valve gear (easy to understand).
On the GWR Castle's are 2 sets of valve gear. Only one of the 2 upper cylinders is connected to a driving axle. The other one is connected to the first one (also fairly easy to understand).
But what the heck is this?! I cant see any connections. What is going on in between the frames?
