One of the best gigs I was ever at ,Dublin '93, managed to crawl under speakers and climb up the back of them to get on stage with them, big hug from Phil and then he tells me to jump quickly before security grabbed me lol, one I'll never forget. When gigs were gigs and NOT a filming studio for most fans.
Rip Vinny Dime Vinny and Dime were already great by 1989, but when Phil joined the band, and Cowboys from Hell came out, it was staggering. As Phil as said " metal with a groove", no other band had the bounce, this was sooooooo original. God bless Phil, Rex.🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Went to my first Pantera show in 1985 in Muenster, Tx when Terry Glaze was still with the band. Things definitely changed when Phil joined. Phil would demand a pit and fans to go nuts. Seen them over 20 times and loved every one. Walk was done at a local club in Dallas called the Basement.
In the 90's yes it was not uncommon at concerts particularly metal concerts for people to jump from the stage/platforms. Ironically/unfortunately that changed after the murder of Dimebag Darrell in 2004.
You know I never thought of it that way but for the most part you're right. My last concert I ever been to was in 06..Korn/Deftones/Stonesour and it was still lit, people went nuts but for the majority after Dime was murdered by a fan security stepped up at bigger shows. Gotta remember to tho he was in Damage Plan at the time and it was a very small venue. Even easier to get at artists that way at the time and smaller venues are still pretty loosely guarded. But a bigger venue you're not getting within 50-100 feet of the band
Basically anything from PantarA is awesome. Even their Dallas Stars theme song "Puck Off". They wrote it while the Stars were on their Stanley Cup winning run back in '99. They play it every time the Stars score at home even today
I saw Pantera on tour with Skid Row... of course they crushed it. I met Vinnie that night he was a sweetie. Visited the their graves..years later...still doesn't feel real at time. RIP Dime and Vinnie.
I really want to believe that Pantera and Phils powerful rough loud unintentional screaming sounding voice may have given birth to the future screaming metal bands, there's gotta be some truth to that
"Walk On Home Boy!" A lot of the OG's doing stage dives back in the day would hurt themselves or someone else these days. It would be more like a stage fall off. And, then it would be, "So much for seeing the rest of the show."lol
You could close your eyes and throw a dart at picking from their list of songs and NEVER GO WRONG! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻All Pantera songs deserve a 5 horns rating RIP Dimebag Darrell the Metal Community misses you!
What i would give to go back in time and see Pantera live, they killed it every night without question. Doesn't matter if they were perfoming for 10people or 10 thousand people, they gave 100% everytime. I am sure if the brothers were alive, the Metal music scene would be alot different right now. RIP legends!
Awesome. Vulgar display of power was literally the first live i saw as i was born 81' which means my sister brought me along for the live Pantera tour in SwEDEN of all places on her littlebrother sittings lol. :)......but man i love her for that today i can hardly remember the dude that put me on his shoulders today i believe he was called either Johnny, Johan or maybe Kim :) most of them joined hells angels later. But man im still a hardrockin amigo today :Ö)
At a show in maybe 94 in Baltimore, some clown tried to fight Phil…threw shit on stage several times etc…was a black dude who was a moron and thought Phil was a racist…Mouth For War was playing and he tried to jump up on stage and Phil front kicked him in his chest and ruined his night….shit was too funny
Farewell Dimebag Darrell.. it just ain't the same without him. The last show they did was like 2001. And it's sad they were one of the best metal bands ever. I would love to see them in concert again but it will never happen ever again.😥
Love y'all but have you ever went out hunting wolves? It's an amazing experience! Majestic beast they are! I just wrote my wirds like Yoda speaks! Lol! Anyways, stay strong and Always Keep Moving Forward!!!
you guys should react to Storm Troopers of Death, March of the SOD.....the singer jumps from the top of the speakers....its awesome. March Of The S.O.D.- Sargent ''D'' & The S.O.D.
Sadly you can't have fun at shows like you used to. The 90s in particular was the wild west. I saw, I want to say it was Fear Factory, at one of the Ozzfest shows in the 90s. It's outside with two stages. The second stage was way off practically in the woods with trees everywhere. People were jumping off the trees! Now I go to metal shows where there are say 3 levels (floor, middle and back) that go up kind of like a movie theaterish. I'll be at the front of section 2 with the railing in front of me and if I lean over a little to look down I'll have security up my ass telling me to stop and lean back. Give me the tree people any day over that. And I know it's bad and I don't do this stuff anymore but I remember when you could smoke in a club. It's good they got rid of that but seeing a band destroying it on stage while you smoke a cigarette and take a swig of Whiskey from the bottle you snuck in and watch people do insane stuff like fly into the crowd is a level of pure freedom you will never see or experience again as long as you live. Glad I don't do stuff like that anymore but equally glad I got to have that experience and KNOW what it was like.
Two bands that if someone tells you “ I saw Pantera-Exodus” THEIR LIEING!! You dont see Pantera, Exodus, You SURVIVE PANTERA-EXODUS! two of the brutalist pit songs, Pantera 5 Mins Alone- Exodus Toxic Waltz..I am dealing with a separated shoulder as i text now, Pit was rough at the Testament/ Exodus/Death Angel show a couple of weeks ago. 🤘🏻
Too many venues have been sued and found liable for injuries and deaths so that's why you can't do crazy stuff any more. Hell you can't even keep your bottle cap anymore because of people throwing full bottles and hitting people. It's stupid.
Hey guys! How are you doing today? Great reaction by the way! I just saw it. Can you guys react to Metallica-Suicide And Redemption next? Just the album version of it. It’s a really fun and really epic instrumental song. I’m sure you guys will love that one

@@ryansalmons5279 Yes Sir! Those were the days!! 🤘
Vince had so much power on those drums…awesome
I listen to Pantera so often that my 4 year old was in his room the other day singing "re-spet. walk" over and over again 🖤😭 lol
Great band
Craziest concert i ever attended
@@TML0677 sorry

Man...things just ain't the same without Dimebag and Vinnie around.
This is the truth.
Yeah man I totally agree with you
😞
Sure ain't
@@stephenedwards6154 Is there a point to your ramblings or are you just trolling for shits and giggles?
Either way...big fail.
ive been to a pantera show, the security had no chance, ended up smoking with us lol
Yeah they are Pantera they did what they wanted to do like throw the Stanley Cup off a balcony denting it and writing puck off hockey in Dallas!

49 now... This was life in 90's... Miss it
Was lucky enough to see them live a few times.. Once was with White Zombie... Epic.....
Basically anything from PantarA is awesome. Even their Dallas Stars theme song "Puck Off". They wrote it while the Stars were on their Stanley Cup winning run back in '99. They play it every time the Stars score at home even today
That time was a high point in the D/FW area with the CFH and the Stars! What a blast!
@@Easy_Skanking it was most definitely was.

Every song is awesome. Waiting for the next Wolf Hunters vid to come out too 💪🏻👊🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
On the leaps,No one let you do that then,we just did it anyway.
I really want to believe that Pantera and Phils powerful rough loud unintentional screaming sounding voice may have given birth to the future screaming metal bands, there's gotta be some truth to that
Pantera was cool with stage diving as long as you did it quickly and didn't linger on stage. They were awesome live.
All that insane tone through a solid state amp
The end is so dope 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You are probably right. People are so uptight these days. This is soooo groovy. I love the groove.
RIP Abbott brothers and Pantera
GOD BLESS THE 90'S

R.I.P Dime and Big Vin!!
Pantera is my second favorite band after metallica. Two great frontmans, Hetfield and Anselmo.
Everyone bops, even on the fade out.. Great song great band.. Thanks 👍🏻
3 DECADES I've been listening to this song! Classics never die.
i got kicked out of a Mudvayne show for doing exactly that except i jump off the upper bar.....security said i was being to wild and removed me
I saw them 3 times on 1997-98 ....with Anthrax and KISS...!! AWESOME SHOWS!!
Pantera -Walk respect CFh Forever 🤘☠️🤘🎼🎵🎶🎤🎸🎸🥁🔊🔈🔉🎼🎵🎶🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Back before technology ruined music. As you see no cell phone's in the crowd and no laptops all over the stage. Back when it was real.
Saw Pantera at Ozzfest and another time White Zombie opened for them. I was def for 2 days. Best ever!!!!!
Pantera reach the top of the charts more than once. All that metal with only three musicians.. I think it's a great accomplishment
That video was recorded at the club they owned back in the day! It was called "The Basement ".
I fucking love how after the first verse everyone either sings along, does the walking hand gesture or both. Good times.
You could close your eyes and throw a dart at picking from their list of songs and NEVER GO WRONG!

You have to do Im broken studio version reaction.. the energy and lyrics are simply amazing.

The Best of band of world, pantera amazing
Pantera 🤘
Still sounding fresh and awesome after all these years.
Vinny is the drummer on it too.
This is one of my favorite solos I have ever heard🔥🔥
I love the way dime incorporated so much texas blues in his licks n solos while still being so destructive
Great music! Era de mi juventud, magnific👍

It's called groove metal
I got to see them live once with White Zombie. Best show I have been to

Saw them at Donnington UK mid 90s epic set Phil on top form
Ok I am energized now.... Thanks Fam.
I love Pantera RIP Dimebag and Vinnie Paul
No one let Phil do it either. He just did it. Pantera didn't follow rules!? 😕
Saw them when they were on tour with megadeath on the countdown to extinction tour they were incredible
No one goes harder in the history of bands. Book it
The old Theme of Rob Van Dam from his days in ECW
Vulgar Display of Power is such a great fucking album!!

Pantera concerts were insane. They did things that would be banned now a days. Just not the same anymore without Dime and Vinnie
The reason there's no more stage diving and stuff is because of what happened to Dime
