Thank you again for streaming it a while back! As I said in the stream, this is a spin-off of Lonely Roads, my main hack which is currently at 16 hours long and there are more parts coming! Hope everyone enjoyed the game! Who knows? Maybe you will be seeing more of some of these inmates in LR soon 😉
I know this was probably a coincidence but a lot of the pokemon in the prison were banned in competitive pokemon formats, like sand veil cacturne in gen 3 ou and thats my headcannon of how they got in prison
You said in the stream, but uploader failed to mention here. In Mystery Dungeon Explorers, there is a canon side-story that shows Wigglytuff the Guildmaster's past, and this rom-hack continues in the perspective of Almaldo when that canon story ended.
The start was literally in an actual mystery dungeon game, explorer’s of time, in one of the special episodes accessed in the main menu
It's explorers of sky, since time and darkness didn't have the special episodes, but other than that, yeah, you're right
It's amazing how whenever pokemon mystery dungeon is involved it never fails to get me emotional, be it the official games, fan games, animations, comics, etc. This series has a heart and that heart can be seen through anything.

Seeing this fan game start with the ending of Guildmaster Wigglytuff’s backstory from Explorers of Sky, legit almost had me crying all over again.
Edit: Watching to the end, this game’s story is so well written that it feels like a side story that you could unlock in EoS

One thing that’s interesting to me is that Rampardos in this is a corrupt cop, in another rom hack that explores grovyles and dusknoirs past, there is a crazy and dangerous Rampardos who wants to destroy everything in his way.
Me thinks there might be a connection between the two

I felt it was good they added guild master wigglytuff in the game at the start and the end
With what I know of the series is that this still could be cannon without the wigglytuff we know in explores of sky being the one in the game, as I’m pretty sure every guild master has been a wigglytuff
