I've listened to about 25 piano quintets in the last year, and this is tied for my favorite! My quartet is about to perform the Dohnanyi Op. 1 on a recital, but now I have to see how I can talk them into doing this one next!! Would love to see you post his string quartet on here as well!
Wunderschöne live Aufführung dieses spätromantischen und perfekt komponierten Quintetts im veränderlichen Tempo mit klarem doch anmutigem Klang des genialen Klaviers sowie gut vereinigten und perfekt entsprechenden Tönen vierer ebenso genialen Streichinstrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt echt schön und auch traurig. Im Kontrast klingt der dritte Satz echt lebhaft und auch erfereulich. Wundervoll vom Anfang bis zum Ende!
