@@lordhoho1 - I've had racoons in my attic before, wasn't too bad because it is massive. We relocated them to my garage so they would be safe && sound. They're adorable.
I’m guessing this is your daughter since you both look identical to each other but man, she’s a trooper and has no fear. You should be proud of this young woman!!
I love the way you make these videos showing furry mamas coming back for their babies and that is not about wild or "savage" scary animals. ❤️. Great work
Cassandra I admire you the way you work with your father up and down those very high ladders and handling those babies so carefully God bless you both real special. I am an Australian and just love watching you both rescuing wildlife. 💚💕💟💜💞💛💗💕Helen
I was a contractor, and we have a saying " when you make a hole make it a big one, not a small one". this is because the cost of fixing it and closing it up is the same either way.
It's so tense waiting for the camera to see inside the box the next day to make sure the mom got her babies!! Then the sigh of relief when we see it is empty!! Love what Gates do to help out our wildlife buddies to save their lives.................God bless you
That happened in of their videos...they came back the next day and mom was in their with the babies. I think they used one of those tools to prod mom along.
Very professional work, Kudos! Question, could you make the box a solution? A sturdy material den, designed so that she'd WANT to stay; babies big enough they leave, and then you can remove (or if weather permits, choose to leave for her to come back in the future). Then you achieve both a solution to immediate situation, maybe providing a permanent solution to this mom, plus you know you're not potentially creating a similar challenge to your neighbor.. well, more videos then ;)
@@WigglyYogi You want the box for the safety of the babies but the ultimate goal is to get them away from the house so even if the secondary site is not ideal, it’s not in the home or some other human “convenience” like a trash can or shed. The mom will relocate them, hopefully not at a neighbor’s home. As cute as they are Mon Dieu, they can cause thousands of dollars worth of damage to the homeowner’s property. Best wishes, take care. (Great question, BTW.)

I came here fom Fox and babies rescue video ! Thanks guys. a really excellent job 💕
@@srhbluerain I don't know what's up in my attic. Could be a mouse, could be a raccoon, sounds like a bear sometimes stomping around up there. I could put up have a heart traps, but would be unable to be sure I got the whole family & cannot screw up a family one animal at a time relocating them
Daughter is absolutely adorable!!... and what a terrific worker she is. I would love to do this with my daughter.... used to own a pest control company.....sad face.
Give Dad a big bear hug from me. He started a fantastic, harmless, business that means the world to many of us. Make sure you crush his ribs, because I can squeeze hard. ;-)
- 9:55 I am worried that the mother grabbed one or more of her babies though. It is extremely *RARE* for a mother racoon to only have *TWO* babies! I am so nervous 😓 😟 😰
Guys. You need to get an adjustable grabber pole to increase or decrease the pole length and attach a micro camera to the tip of the grabber with a light on it and then just have a wireless mini monitor outside the whole to watch what you are doing as well as eye sight and this process would be a lot easier. P.S. I represent trapped animals that need a lawyer.
What do you guys do when you can't locate the babies? I'm working on a job now in which I inadvertantly closed the momma inside because I couldn't find them. She tore through the screening to get back out but I have no idea where they are hiding
I appreciate the work you do in catching and insuring the survival of our furry friends. May I suggest a multi-tool either battery or corded for cutting through drywall? I was kind of cringing when you were using a drywall saw to cut the drywall. Also, these multi-tools are great for work around your home.
Gosh I love the springtime of the year. Just beautiful. At night I can smell the earth. And it is a wonderful, intoxacating smell. All is new and warm days are ahead. Gotta love the four seasons. But me being a bird brain saddle up and head to Florida November 1st until April 19.
I like your videos but why a drywall saw? With an Oscillating Tool it would be much faster and safer as no major sharp point that could poke an animal. Plus with an Oscillating Tool it would also make roof access easier.
That blow-in insulation is a curse to work in. And...a battery powered oscillating cutting tool beats a hand saw any day. You should give it a try. It leaves a very clean hole that is easy to patch.
Just wondering...would they naturally leave on their own once grown so you wouldn’t have to cut in and could just fix roof fan? Or do they cause too much damage if they continue to stay?? ❤️ your videos.
You can't leave them until they grow up in your attic. The damage would be horrendous with them peeing and pooping all over the place. Raccoons can be very destructive. This is a much better solution.
Also wish the ppl that I've hired were as good as both of you! You get the job done! I've sent ppl up there not only companies but even friends and can never find an entry way! To me it's up in the exhaust fan above the. I br! By the way I think is because I always here a noise like it would be in the br them steps!!! Which sometimes are heavy or when they jump on the roof!!! I wish there was an end to this!!!!!
I always wonder if they fix the holes that they need to open in order to get the wild life. I'm not talking about painting, but do they put the drywall back up? Also, the mother racoon looked like she came from the vent on the roof. Could she go back into the house or could another racoon go into that house or did they make it where another animal can't enter?
Need to put in heavier gauge wire. Fly screen wire is any good for keeping up flies. What kind of roof information have you got that looks like sawdust. May have termites too
When he's backing out of the driveway at the end, look at front porch of the house across the street. Can anyone explain what that is that appears out of nowhere? I slowed it down and can't figure what it could be. ?
When they go in through an entry like this doesn't mean they stay in the same place right?! I have something up in my attic that I think. Are racoons but these whatever they are travel all over and follow everyone in the house and just watch you more at night I'm guessing through the window when they do go out! Do es that sound right?!

Well I now might know how critters are getting in my attic. Do you know of any kind wildlife removers in Connecticut?? Wishing you had a branch here.
I live in CT too. They can be a real nuisance in summer and fall...they live in the woods behind my condo....

Well, I guess there are no humane critter removers in CT. They must all be mean. Except bee removers because they want to save bees.

Mr Gates may I suggest a cordless oscillating saw
When did start using cardboard boxes for the babies, instead of the heated wooden box.
I like your videos but why a drywall saw?
With an Oscillating Tool it would be much faster and safer as no major sharp point that could poke an animal.

That blow-in insulation is a curse to work in. And...a battery powered oscillating cutting tool beats a hand saw any day. You should give it a try. It leaves a very clean hole that is easy to patch.
Good advice.
I think they use hand saws because it's less likely to accidentally injure a raccoon that way.

4:37 imagine how much hot water they use with that shower. i have a 7 inch head & it uses nearly 4GPM. that thing must be 12 inches.
You need to get a scope of view corners and tight spaces. It will help you a lot, maybe just using a drill can help u locate racoons than sawing.
