- We humanely removed a mother raccoon and her one baby from a pool house attic last week. The mother had hallowed out an area in the spray foam insulation to create a nest.
Watch how we almost persuaded the mother to come out while we were there. Psst..there is footage of the mother gathering her baby!
I apologize for the late upload this past week, we had technical difficulties.
Very nice sharing video racoon mother lives friend, success for you 👍
That painter did a clean lining job… stunning
You guys are amazing and thank you for taking such good care of our furbabies! Also, I want your clients money!
I agree. You can tell they love animals esp when they see the babies and hold them for a bit. And love they put the babies in a safe place for mama to come and get them later. They r so cute and most animals make such good loving fierce mamas haaaa. I love these people come back to see if the babies r take away
Have you ever seen a situation where the mother has not came back to her babies
What a classy pool house
I couldn't do this, because I'd end up with a house full of racoons.
ANOTHER EXCELLENT JOB well done!! GATES... THANK YOU!! You are an INSPIRATION to all other Animal Control Companies!!😀👍👍💖🐿️😼🐦🐰🐭🦝
Thank you so much for saying that. It means a lot!
You can see Momma Racoon at 6:56 upper right corner just under the metal joist support but in the back shadows.
you're totally right !!! such a cute little sight in the shadows hahaha
We hadn't noticed when editing the footage, good catch!
You have a great eye!..
I can't see it... 😕
6:56 cute face spotted in the shadows
I wondered if anyone saw that.
The pool house is literally a house!
- For the rich && famous.
Thanks for another Amazing Video! I love the clear boxes❤️❤️❤️
What great clients to let you damage parts of their beautiful home for the sake of rescuing these wonderful animals. Great job as always guys. 👍🏿
I love these longer videos!!!
We're so glad!
We’ve seen that raccoons , foxes , rats etc take time to gather up their young and move them somewhere safe as is their maternal instinct….but are there certain mammals that don’t have that instinct and would just abandon their young if disturbed?
Wonderful channel , great production values.
Raccoons
Rabbits, they are cruel
A taste of the good life.😂👍 I love racoons.
Thank you, these videos make my day.
Gotta be such a pull for the mom, seeing her baby and knowing people are there,
Another job done very well. You people are wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
I just found you guys today. I am SO GLAD to see you are still posting! If I could ask one thing, it would be that when you capture the footage of the mother coming back to relocate the babies, could you (consistently :) ) have the TIMESTAMP INFO on it? (I saw at least one video from 2019 I think it was that had the timestamp on it). Reason being, it is fascinating to see how much TIME it takes for that process to occur! THANK YOU for all you do! Love and support from the Oregon Coast, USA
I see this video DOES HAVE the timestamp YAY!!
I swear, every time you stick a camera into an attic or something and start moving it around to show us the space I keep expecting you to turn the camera around and suddenly a coon face is staring into the lens like some sorta serial killer. LOL
You can see her looking at the camera at 6:59 😂
Anothet momma just trying to protect her baby. Instinct is a beautiful thing. Thank you for helping them.🦝❤️
Awesome video 👍🏻
So sweet! And hard work. Blessings.
This is their world too
They are just so adorable.
You should invest in a ferret cam or better, so you can see what's going on without having to poke your head in.
It’s probably a good thing that you video and thoroughly explain what you are doing to get the raccoon, as homeowners may try to blame you for damaging their property. Do you also have them sign a document in advance?
Super fun video!
Very young, eyes still closed
I live all your videos!!!! Xoxoxo
If it was my place, I'd let things be until the baby was grown and everyone had left, then seal up the way they came in 😄
A pice of wood above the hole you cut, the cutout fastened to the piece of wood. Just needs a bit of spackle in the cuts and a lick of paint and no one will ever know that you were there. Nicely done! Just maybe cut the edges so that you get a V-shaped groove. Makes it easier to fill the cut properly.
You guys are amazing at what you do!
Why do you need a pool house in Canada eh? Maybe they use it for ice skating 10 months out of the year!
Maybe they have guests that like to experience what it’s like to have your skin freeze in less than a minute. The pool house is very well insulated. 😂
great rescue. thanks so much for doing this.
Nice save
Every time I hear "alternate den site" I think "neighbors attic"
Aww! Raccoon babies!
Nice Work! I haven’t been able to get to the live catching yet. I mean I trap in live cages but still weary of live catching on the snare. You guys are the real MVPs!
Wonderful!!
Do you ever have concerns about feral or other wildlife getting the babies? What safeguards are in place for that? And just who really needs a chandelier in a pool house? The fire, yes, it gets cool up there, but putting in a chandelier? Ostentatiousness…
They mostly likely use it for parties. Damn, I wish I lived in a place that nice.
What a mess! Yikes.
Amazing
TFS you rock.
What a cute, fat little baby!mom will be frantic when she finds it missing.
Wow... Very interesting... 🙂
- 10:42 She keeps hesitating. *GO GET YOUR ONLY BABY* [( well in *THIS* litter lol )]
A pool house that would rent for ten grand a month in NYC lol
I love how most houses in the us are basically cardboard houses you can cut up with a knife
Ahhh yes….but they are in Canada…sooooo…..
great channel i just sub
Great job as always 👏
Momma had to walk on her hind legs to carry that chunky baby.
So this might be a bit personal question but I went back to the oldest videos and it seems like your daughter (?) only began to work along with you only few years back. Last 1-2 years she is basically inseparable part of the GWC. I assume she is going to follow your steps and take over family business?
Cassandra has been working with the company for 7 years now! In the past 2 years she became the featured technician on our channel along with Brad Gates!
She is amazing!!
Nice.
Cool👍❤
5-star pool hotel eh.
What a good Mother! It looks like it was snowing as well. Thank you Gates Wild Life Control! Being compassionate is a wonderful thing…..Take good care…..Susan from Ontario Canada
Thank you so much Susan. It was raining that night, which is why the camera was a little blurry too.
@@gateswildlife Thank you so much for your kind reply…I always enjoy watching your videos. They always leave me with a smile on my face …..Have a wonderful rest of your week……Kindest regards, Susan
Raccoon is like what you doing I was taking a nap 😴
❤️❤️
It's rare i press the like button on here but you guys deserve it!
How did you find them.in the 1st.place ?! Ppl come out to my house ! And they never looked thourgh because they never found away. In or any animal!!!! Out of IDK how many.have come out! Only two has ever gone all the way in the attic!!!! And charge boy do they!!!!!!!
Gosh it’s always those Janky soffits on the house. Somebody needs to come up with a better idea than that.
I don’t understand how you can leave with the mother still in the attic. With the access point still open why wouldn’t she go back to the attic?
The mother is scared because you do not back off lady!
Cięžka to praca.. pozdrawiam ...
alternate den is another house... Is there a way we can relocate them to deeper nature where we know they will have ample of space, shelter and food? There's a raccoon whisperer in a in the country side where he feeds wild animals on a daily. Those racoons are welcomed in those rural areas. it's not productive keeping racoons in the same blocks. They shouldn't be eating trash.
Did you see that pool? Disgusting.
4:02. Who felt the need to rub your eyes?
I have a random question. By any chance didn’t you guys came to Washington DC back in 2019? I think you came to the restaurant I used to work, cause you look so familiar, please let me know 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣. On the other hand, I like your videos, really cool
You should have just left them… they would have moved themselves. She wasn’t bothering anyone… I guess you have to act like you’re doing something so you can get paid… but if people only knew the truth about raccoons and their dens… no one would be calling you people.
All that insulation is horrid for them just as it would be horrid for humans living in such conditions. I utterly gasped at the living conditions not offered in any lease contract by the landlords! Another great job for Momma's baby. Now it is up to neighbors to respect these lives. Gates can do it so far as our laws don't give due respect to these beings as they are considered pests rather than persons. Each sentient being is a nonhuman person. Says Zipporah Weisberg in The Simple Magic of Life, Each time we extinguish an animal subject we extinguish the worlds she inhabited and also the worlds we and other embodied subjects would have co-created with her. To kill a single animal, then, let alone tens of billions, is to tear asunder the world, and the worlds that make it up.
Man play music over the heavy breathing while cutting.
So many wild animals are hit by a car even so 30-or a 40 km speed limit, I pictured a possum with her babies being killed and big foxes so many raccoons, squirrels etc hit by a car, this is a disgusting selfish evil act, people think just only they have to right to leave ?!! These beautiful creations have a family too, they are starving because we build so many condos Businesses etc! And some people are so angry why these creations going to your garden and they try to survive! Messages to that evil selfish people who drive a car, your are a selfish trash dumb dammed disgusting human beings!! I f*****en hate them ! 🤬
Living through a raccoon invasion is absolutely terrorizing! I hate those disgusting creatures.
We are living in their world, taking over the environment that they used to have without a "human invasion" . We have to expect that they will use what we build. They aren't naturally messy when they are nesting, the mum will bury the poop away from the nest so as not to attract predators to the babies. it's when they get stuck or trapped somewhere that they seem to panic and make a mess as they try to find their way out.
Racoons seem to be the equivalent of our possums here in South Eastern Australia, about the same size.
If humans took the time to learn about the animals around them, we could learn alot from them.
Hope you take the time to learn and change your attitude. Blessings, Dot
They have as much right to live tho' as any of us do & for any of us who live in the country or in rural areas, living with wildlife is something that we all know is going to happen.
Even when I lived in Toronto years ago, we had 2 different couples of raccoons that would come to visit every couple of weeks.
🦝Rhoda Racoon was so disappointed that she had to move from her booshie bath house to the big house across the pond.
"Come on, Reginald," she whispered, "you will love the new place`~ I've redecorated it again this year, there is alot more room & it's just right here."
"The girls had been so jealous of the bath house but the big house is so fine." She thought as she scampered past the pond & scaled the brick.
"Maybe we will invite your Auntie Ronda & Auntie Rosa to live with us. There is so much room & the two leggeds had put so much Nesting Crunch up for her that her sisters' rowdy broods won't be heard🦝🌿🦝
Book, who is sleepless in Walla Walla, needed the flight of whimsy.
I so love this channel, their gentle spirits & the beauty & kindness we are shown. Thank you!
at 6:57 is it the mom you can see in the dark?
♥️ It's the Title for me 😃😃.....Can't pay bills you gotta go Freeloaders 🦝
At 6:57 you can see momma racoon watching them from the top right of the screen just beside the metal joint brace in the roof.
Hi. I live on the outskirts of Toronto and I think there is a man living in my basement. I've set out different traps but all he does is eat the bait. Is there any way you guys can come and humanely relocate him? If it turns out to be my brother (which I sorta suspect), he can be vicious when addled but you can probably use one of those rope loop thingys to drag him out. Thanks!
He's cute
- I think she relocated to the building next door ahahha 😊😅😂 Oops. Racoons will be racoons. How sweet they are. 🦝🦝🦝 (Sometimes)
