I want to start out with I live on the Central east coast and I’m 65 and getting older sooner, believe me. people AND MYSELF would love to be in your waders. Your choice of tools is on the money 💴. That throws the float system pretty reliably. Show how to set up the rod from spool to lure. You’re living the life. Don’t screw up 😉👍🏻
Great video dude! I live in ireland and have fished the Vedder, Chilliwack, Harrison and Frazer rivers as well as quite a few on Vancouver Island and further north. I usually target Steelhead in the eastern United States, but have had the pleasure of many Canadian Steelhead too. Definately my favourite Salmonid by far for obvious reasons!!!
Nice rigging on the worm. They work pretty good on the Cowichan especially in low vis. If that's all you ever fished with you'd get your share. Nice post!
Awesome, man! Whats the best time to fish the Vedder> I am thinking to give it a try but I will need a heavier rig than what I am using here at the Great Lakes hahahaha
Really nice set-up you have there. I really like your Islander. I was looking at some of those the last time I was looking for a reel. Looks like quite an awesome run of fish you have there. I'm pretty sure that was the biggest wild steelhead I've seen yet. I am itching to try fishing for them. Looks similar to our Atlantic salmon fishing. Keep up the good work, man!
Always, my friends! If you ever want to go once I am on the west coast, feel free to give me a shout anytime. You guys really seem to know how it's done. I wouldn't mind learning one day.
Mate, great fishing. Greetings from the Antipodes. I though the rainbows and salmon in New Zealand were big, but those fish were sensational. Interesting technique you have, similar to the indicator nymphing we use in our big rivers and obviously just as effective, do a search on the 'Tongariro'. Subscribed and thanks for sharing, Cheers, Craig
Man, great video! A couple questions: Do you ever do guided trips? It would be a dream to hook into a buck like that! Also, what size reel and pole do you recommend for those massive beasts?
someone correct me if im wrong, but I think its due to insane weights and heavy floats they use in the PNW. In the great lakes we fish much smaller weights often using aa's+ 4 gram floats due to far smaller flows (niagara river and some others being a outliers).... If we try that it'll go nowhere
@@MichaelPhillips-jw4bj i typically run a 20-25 gram float for most rivers here run 30's if the river is high or fishing deep fast run for chinook, smallest floats i use are 11g for smaller rivers.
Respect how this young guy handle the fishes! Nice video
This young man is an awesome angler...props to his father
I saw the opening shot to the river and my jaw dropped. What an amazing stream!

Great video. What type of hooks do you use when fishing rubber worms under a float. Thanks..

Great video there. Nice to see some hogs released to fight again!

You can only keep hatchery steelhead out of this River

I’m glad you enjoyed my video Craig! I’ve always wanted to travel to New Zealand and fish for those monster trout! Seems like a blast

You still using the upside down pink work right in current vids ? Thanks
It's called wacky rigging it, and it works great. Way better hook up ratio.
Awesome video! I'm a beginner steelheader and I was wondering what's that spot that you fished at? Looked great!
Allison pool
!!!Niiice Vid. Interesting way to rig the worm. I think I will try that.Is that a bead just above the hook?
+23v0lv32 thanks! Glad you liked it!
Yes it is just above the hook
try a corkie if you like doggin
Two fish in the same run not bad.

Why are you fighting the fish with the pawl on?
Allison Pools area?
Mike Boston it’s ten months after but yes it is at Allison pool
what can you catch in may???
+Hayden Domroes the river closes for fly only
Where exactly on the Vedder is that spot?
Just below the mouth of Notellum Creek. Just hike up through Invisible Pass to get there
why do you turn the clicker on while fighting fish?
cause its annoying kinda like bringing a girl fishing lol jks
He's right, though.
Maybe this season we could fish together just a thought keep me posted
yeah, let's do it!
Anyone else wondering how tf he’s casting the Center pin like that ....
thats how everyone in BC casts a pin.

Very good video. I liked the music too. Are those 6"' worms or 4"? What is the fluffy thing above the hook?
Liked and subscribed.
