£6 per day to spend is still more than a homeless British person would get.
Benefits for a single person is £360 per MONTH.
You have to pay a service charge to live in a hostel!
That removes £280 per week from the British person’s benefit.
Leaving £80 per month.
Or £20 per week.
Per day, just £2.80!
Migrants DONT have to pay a service charge in a hotel.

Regardless of how long they may wait for asylum applications they still live in hotels and taking over social housing, with all free food, heating and comforts thrown in, that our own people don't get. No way are they going to leave all that.
I think the point is, most of them want to start working, and sending money back home. So being on benefits for 3 years - it does actually act as a deterent, to some extent.
@sc3304 to be honest, seeing what has happened to quite a few successful applicants, the main goal seems to be to bring their families over here too. This was muted to be why some, but not all, the asylum seekers were "young" men paving the way.
As it has always been UK policy to allow new immigrants, once settled, to bring their families over.
It will be interesting to see, in 3 years time, that many of the immigrants are actually in jobs that pay enough for them to live here and send money home.

The West should withdraw from the Refugee Convention. Refugees should also apply to embassies and consulates in their home countries and wait for the results. Those who enter the country illegally or stay in the country illegally should be denied asylum claims.

the RNLI help when a boat brakes up and people in the water or its taking on water the info comes to HM coast guard by the people in the boat when it gets into UK waters

I work with Asylum seekers in Belgium. We also have numbers of them wishing to leave as well.
The house next door was made into 6 bedsits for them it's a complete nightmare, i cannot afford to move, none of the neighbours were warned of them moving in and our house prices have dropped everything for them is free you want to see the expensive clothes trainers they wear

Probably because even if you are legal, there is no guarantee that you will be housed unless you have dependents - a lot of councils have literally no housing anymore. Also there is a limit to how many low-skilled cash in hand jobs there are - the competition for work must be horrific for a lot of these guys right now. This guy is dead wrong too saying if they are made legal they will find work- many well educated British-born people are now seeking delivery, shop and service jobs as technology and industry changes are decimating previously popular middle class careers. If you need a delivery driver who will you employ? The eloquent 50 year old with a clean driving license, who till recently was working as graphic designer? or the 20 something guy who has only basic spoken English and no CV or references?

So, uk not only has an immigration problem but also an emigration problem. Well it had to happen. Now it seems more highly skilled people are leaving or thinking about leaving while the people that are arriving are mainly low skilled but now more of them are thinking about leaving too. But of a conundrum!. Great job by the home office and the government and doesn’t bode well for the future. I’ve been saying for a while now that if things don’t improve then nobody is going to want to come here!
