Went in the Army in 1979. Got off an old 1850 pullin 5 plows. Was in basic training 48 hrs later.Been home 41 yrs. Damn thing still runnin down here in Tennessee!
When I was a young lad back in the early 70's, my dad had a Kverneland 5x18" semi mount plow on his 1755 Oliver.. That would make her bark, especially turning sod over.. Great tractor and plow though.. The good ol' days!!!..
2255 front assist drive 1975 3208 Caterpillar V 8 non turbo. Beautiful two tone paint scheme with slightly green white accents. Extra fuel in thick fenders. A brutal look with pleasant ergonomic layout and exhaust note.
Rick Bork should watch... LoL.. But he's plowing sod, without enough horsepower.. lol When we still plowed, we ran fast enough to get it to lay out smooth. Still disced it down, but if we were against the weather, we would follow the plow with the drill and cultipacker. Always came out nice!! Good to see the old ladies out working!! Thank you Dave!!
I remember my grandfather sayin those Oliver’s pullin Oliver/white plows would outplow any other brand. Plows closer to drawbar or ollies stronger than they want to give credit to 🤷♂️. I like it though. Dad pulled 4-16’s in heavy clay here in CNY with a 1755 no problem for years 👍
I have heard the same thing, believe there is something to the semi mount Oliver plows being closer to tractor that helps. Also the fact that you can still buy shears (today) at places like fleet farm tells you something about the plows.... A lot of others are missing from the shelf.
I’m sure they are. Most of the club guys collect what they grew up on and they seem to be the domestically produced versions. The Oliver’s build in Charles city Iowa. I don’t know anyone who owns a Fiat built one. If you’re around MN bring it out, we would be happy to have you.

One of the best companies making farm equipment if they where still going today id say they would definitely be number one!
Be cool to see how it would have evolved.
Oliver's are the best tractors alwsys will be.
They have been good to us, we are still running them!

That’s a big plow, we run a 5 bottom white behind our 2-135 and have 2 Oliver 4 bottoms and one 3

This video is super cool, thank you!
The only green tractor worth owning.

😂 All Rick has to do is ask, we'll have a plow day up there, turn it in no time. We'd be lapping that pumpkin 😂
Thanks Ed!
@@crazydave4455 LOL 😎 😂 ya, he'd make a pass or two and you all would have it all done 👍😂🤣😎
I don't think that JD 830 even knew there was a plow behind.
Those things are monsters, chugging along at what seems like barely over idle.
I noticed it was pulling good 👍
Nice video thanks for taking time to make it
Your welcome! Thanks for watching.
Hey Mike, thanks for the video s,love Dad
Awesome, at least a bunch of people had some fun. We used to have an Oliver 1800 diesel. Thanks for sharing.
It helps fill the hole, that all the canceled threshing shows left...
@@crazydave4455 👌
my family owns a 1955 Oliver super 77 it’s a little rusty but it still gets the job done.
That’s alright, 1955 was a few years ago 😁 good to hear it’s still in service 👍
My nephew has one super 77 crop row
Nice video
Thanks

i need to find a plow for my H and come next year!
I bet I could arrange a 2-14"s for you to pull, if you want to come out. All are welcome!
next summer lets talk, i would like to find one to purchase.
I bought 2 at an auction this weekend, there were a bunch. Some ok ones even going for scrap, which i hate to see. Can't save them all.
Thanks for the video! How many tractors were there?
Not sure, guessing around 20, maybe a few more.
Thanks for the reply!
What state is this plow day held in?
MN, west central
Plowing down that green fertilizer will grow great crop.

Area looks like wilmington ohio
Near Howard Lake MN
That 830 didn't have a care in the world.
Not at all, lumbering along at what seems barely over an idle… He pulls it in the club’s antique tractor pull, fun to watch!
Then the jds had to ruin the video
🤣 I have to admit I do like the 830.
Had an 830 great tractor.
