Welcome to the NFL Garrett Wilson! New York Jets first round pick and star wide receiver joins The Pivot to chat with Ryan, Channing and Fred about the transition from Ohio State to the NFL.
With high expectations to transform the Jets organization, Ryan talks to Garrett about his new relationship with quarterback Zach Wilson and what to expect out of this year’s offense.
Garret shares what the first few weeks have been like post NFL draft, his experience of mini camp, the difference in match ups he will face and what it’s like playing in New York.
Fred shares a lot of wisdom and his experiences to help open the eyes of Garrett as he enters his first year in the NFL and what to watch for and some areas to focus his energy on and off the field.
Channing chastises Garrett about relationships and what the next few years will be like living in NY under the Broadway lights and attention.
The Pivot release new episodes every Tuesday at Noon eastern and special drops on Fridays at 3pest.

This interview hit different than the others. The fact that you guys actually provided GEMS for this young man to THINK and IMPLEMENT in his current and near future. MUCH RESPECT!

Its outstanding ho00w you guys take him under your wings and point him in the right direction alraedy knowing what he has in front of him. Especially when he is on the New York Stage That can eat you up. Preparing him for it is one of the best things you could do for him. He is loaded with talent and has a special taent to be able to concentrate on the ball and his defensive coverage at the same time. God Bless him and his ability to keep it all together. He has a great sould and a great head on his shoulder.
This was a masterclass. You can tell he was taking in their advice.

Love the way how he was really listening and respected the way how he stood his ground when Big Chan was throwing those groupie subliminals, that are about to be all over him like bees to honey. The Pivot is killing it on so many levels! Salute

@@RJReda There's only 3 markets in the NFL where if you're a professional athlete and got the bag. You're going to be hard pressed not being out and about in those streets, especially if you grew up in a small town. That's NYC, Miami and Los Angeles.

This round table interview was incredible. You guys gave Garrett knowledge, and he seems like the kind of guy to absorb it all and take it to heart. I also really love the question at 30:42 … Garrett is a good kid, and I’m glad he’s a Jet!
You can tell by the way he stares , he’s really focused when they speak to him he’s really taking it in I think he’s going to be great!

I’m 28 and never really had a dad or uncles In my life or a male figure at that, but watching the game these 3 are giving Wilson, is like listening to your 3 wise uncle’s talk life into you. Man what a episode!! Best one so far with the questions and advice fellas 👏👏👏

As a Jets fan this fills my heart with Joy to see grown ass men talking to one of our youth! I'm Black too so to see other strong black men grabbing the hands of one of our own means a lot to me! He had a dad so he was fortunate but so many of ours didn't. I know he will be part of our team becoming great, and it will take some time but I look forward to watching him become who he desires to be!

Young guys can always get a wealth of information from these guys... they speak from experience and knowledge and they pass down jewels freely... I love how they give realness to the guests... they keep it light and the guests can be themselves and we get the benefit of knowing them in a different light...

This episode will go down as perhaps one of the best conversations of OG’s talking to a young man in sports. I hope every athlete is watching and taking mental notes. Great sound advice. Love Channing advice for buffers for business deals. Sometimes it is your own family and friends trying to rip you off. Love that you guys are sharing your life experiences and advice. Love that they’re treating this younger man as he’s a son or an actual teammate, with their questions and perspectives. It almost forces you to give an honest and educated response. I’m ready to see GW perform along with the other first round WR picks.

I got mad respect for Garrett after hearing him speak about his relationship. In my opinion, being in a healthy, loyal, and faithful relationship begins with mindset first and Garrett appears to have the right mindset. He was spot on with the J Cole reference because it's true. Whether you have millions of dollars or not, you must Love Yours and appreciate and focus on the person you have been blessed with.
The young man has a solid foundation at home. The leaves don’t fall far from the tree. God willing, this young man will be fine and ball out. 🙏🏼Blessings.

Great episode, all potential NFL players need to watch this. I can tell Garrett's eyes are about to get wide open during his rookie season. I pray he keeps his head on his shoulders. Channing's buffer idea is flawless, if the deal is legit they will follow up with your lawyer and Financial Advisor if not they'll kick rocks.
I saw this kid make a spectacular catch his freshman year verse Clemson and I knew he would be a star. He reminds me of Odell before the injuries.
