Thank you for watching my last MM guide of Dragonflight! I'm really looking forward to season 4 and I hope you are too! We have a ton of items that will help us do some great damage and the spec is in a pretty good place for new and returning players to give it a try. We still have issues, such as survivability, but with a good versatility build, you can fix some of those problems. Hoping War Within will help us in that department. But regardless, you know I'll be playing my MM Hunter! I'll have live raid twice a week, more videos out about gear you want to aim for and so much more. Any updates will be found below. For those questioning Embellishments: I ran both double Blue Silk Lining (BSL) and BSL plus Armguards. If you can reliably stay ABOVE 90% health, double BSL is HUGE!! Some M+ runs I had over 75% uptime on it. It allows you to build more versatility in your build if you're getting mastery from BSL. You can also just get a lot of passive stats thanks to Armguards. Armguards tend to do better in raid.
Recently got my Hunter to 70 and loving MM. Just saw your older guide last night and this one today. Couldn’t have timed it better lol. I like how you don’t just read talent and rotation descriptions off icyveins and offer viable alternatives if you don’t like certain meta talents (I hate Steel Trap too.) The way you lay out the idea of how the spec plays and what you’re aiming for (pun intended) as far as openers, rotation, and ability timing is super helpful. I wish other content creators made build guides the same way you do.
Hey there! Thank you for your kind words! I really do my best to make content for players of all skill levels. I've tried to do new things in my guides this xpac. Some worked, some did not. I'm really happy how this one turned out. I love MM and play it through the good and the bad. My goal is to have more people find that same love for the spec.. that's the only way we'll get more positive changes for the spec. For too many seasons/xpacs has MM suffered because it's just not played nearly as much as BM. Survival is in that same boat too. My question to you is, how did you like the set up of this guide? @@MrEggplant One thing I would love to see in the next video is a deeper discussion around which combo of trinkets to use when, cause raidbots seems to give me completely different results for ST, Cleave and AoE and I'm not really sure why or how to play around it. Loved the visuals, clear, simple and easy to understand. would love TrufiGCD to watch in 0.5x speed and have a clearer view of the opener.

It worked out perfectly! Super clean, understandble and in-depth. Tyvm! However I do have a question: I'm struggling REAL hard on single target fights to keep up a high dps out of my Trueshot window. My highests logs on heroic raids is 185 - 200k. I was wondering if you could give me any tips on that matter? As for the trick shots buff, when using the single target build, is there anyway to get the buff up outside trueshot and volley? Tyvm once again. I'm picking up MM hunter as an alt and this was a wonderful guide, i just had one question, in the macro section why do all the stopcasting macros have stopcasting 2x times?
Because hunters are weird. In stop casting macros, our auto shot can sometimes eat the stop cast portion of the macro. So you can get unlucky and break the macro because it stopcasting'd the autoshot, but not the cast you had intended. So stopcastin x2 fixes that every time. Great question, Jessica! Do I need the tier sets to have these dps numbers? I’m a casual player and prob won’t get the full set before season ends. Also, will the rotations and talent trees change if I don’t have the full tier? Thanks.
Hey JJ! Yes, you'll want to get the tier set, it gives you tremendous boost to your damage! You can get your tier set within the first 4 weeks thanks to the catalyst. You already have 2 charges waiting for you. Veteran gear you get from doing world content (soup, dragonkeep, the hunts) drop 480 gear that can be turned into tier :)
Hey there! All my weakaura strings are found in my discord. I make all those WAs and the strings are pretty long. They're pretty basic, but get the job done 🥰
@ryanbernard9620 oh that makes sense! Those are the blizzard UI action bars, just moved around. I do slight variations with Bartender to change how many buttons are in each row. I had to use Move Anything and Bartender before blizzard allowed us to edit the UI.

You'll want to keep a 4 set at all times. Luckily for us, the set bonus was the same. But, don't break your 4 set until you have 4 of the newer pieces.
do you think you're going to upgrade this build or smtn meanwhile , I am usually pvp player a casual one . But always looking for a decent guide . And as it seems there is no perfect build alot of people build it kinda different ?
Yeah there's some situational changes depending on what content you're doing, who's in your group, etc. I've kept both builds the same (M+/AOE and ST) all season long up to this point, and I don't think anything will change!
I know crit and haste is more priority than mastery and versatility. But when I SIM some items with mastery and versatility give me more dps than items with haste and crit. Is there an explanation for it?
You have options, but you want it to be an active trinket, not a passive one. The Call to Dominance works best along side an active one. My suggestion is Manic Grieftorch for ST and for AOE either Puzzle box, Iridius Fragment or Ashes.
I heard you mention you want the Sarkareth cloak, but aren’t you worried about the lack of stamina with us already having less health than a BM hunter? 😮
Yeah that's scary for sure. I would want a lot of vers to make up for that loss. I'll most likely pick up the cloak MUCH later in the tier. My goal is to buy Bow, Call, Seal, Seal from the vendor. Then starting week 10, I'll see what gear I have at that point.
@Waevform yeah as a MM, it's a weird feeling that all secondaries are good now. If the cloak had stam, it would probably be pick 3 with bullion. It's 100000% a glass cannon pick.
I wish.. sadly no, you cannot have more than one volley going at once. That's a great question.. I've never been asked or thought about that. Also, I'll have more video breakdowns of M+ for you this season :)

How come my rapid fire only does one single shot instead of 7 shots like its suppose to after an aimed shot for the single target rotation? but works when fine when i use volley -> rapid fire? Edit: I just did the full ST rotation mentioned in the video, and when i looked at my dps meter if didnt even count 1 single damage from my rapid fire because it went straight to CD everytime i used it without it even shooting one single shot from the ability. Is the skill bugged for me or is it something im missing? Why doesnt my rapid fire work?
Sounds like you're clipping rapid fire with your next ability. It's a channeled cast, so you have to let the whole channel happen. I would suggesr adding a macro to aimed shot, so it won't interrupt the cast. I have one of those macros at the end of the video and also in the txt document in my discord!
@MasterAkinoo oh i bet i know what's happening. Were you attacking the big rock dummy? That's for tanking and he drops combat when he can't hit you. That'll stop any channeling abilities
Serpent Sting is auto applied with our Aimed Shot thanks to Serpentstalkers Trickery. Arcane Shot will only be used when it's empowered with Precise Shot procs after we use an Aimed Shot.

Can Volley Stack? Like your rapid fire shoots out a Volley and you cant a Volley yourself. So 2 Volleys are out at once??

Are the bear head shoulders still obtainable?
Sadly, they are not. They were taken out of the game at the end of MoP.
So we dont use serpent sting or arcane shot in our rotations?
