@Camo Yoshi I'd prefer(and also have access to) some sbc, as it fits better with the car, but that'd be low on the priority list if I decided to update this game or expand on it

Stephen King has written many stories about evil cars. I recommend his 1983 car novel, Christine. He has written "From a Buick 8", which is kinda an evil car with Lovecraftian elements. Maximum Overdrive was his own adaptation of his short story, "Trucks".
i have steadily had nightmares about this exact scenario since i was about 5 or 6, up to the present day. before i knew about christine or maximum overdrive or any of that shit, i was having dreams about being mowed down by some possessed car in an alleyway, or being chased by one (or even multiple) on the school playground. dont know why. but GOOD LORD. everything about this, from the isolation of knowing youre all by yourself, to the car knowing exactly where you are at all times, even to the lack of a proper dash mechanic making you physically unable to run away, as if you were dreaming...... everything about this hits EXTREMELY close to home. and i love every fucking bit of it.

Easy Mode: Car goes around a 30 kilometers per hour. Normal Mode: Car goes faster and starts drifting. Hard Mode: The car is now a tank. Nightmare Mode: The car is actually a Decepticon and starts firing lasers at you.
This game reminds me of a cheat in Saint's Row 2 were every driver in the city would constantly try to run you over and over again, until you were dead. It was pretty fun. Heck, Saint's Row 2 was a great game.
I like the idea of a game where you are constantly chased, and enemy is always very-very close. It really would make an intense short experience. Nice game, loved it.
I for sure know there's been movies like this. Or at least I know this has probably been based on some movie. Also was wondering if there's an alt ending but then again a Gas Station Explosion isn't exactly something that's easy to get the hell away from. Especially when you're baiting a Murder Car to crash into the pumps.

Wow. Just drops you straight into the action. No time to prepare just begin right away! Though I wish we got some sort of fanfare or something at the end.
I feel like the "ps1 style" thing is a way to make graphics easier and appeal to hipsters with that vintage asthetic. That doesn't make the games bad, thats just my 2 cents
there's a whole community of people who try to recreate these type of graphics , shader programmers spent days creating these effects you see in game to emulate the errors of ps1 , and low poly is kind of hard to master in the same fashion as pixel art (speaking from experience as I 3d model, and am friends with the dev of this game tho I didn't make these models or anything on this game). It's in similar fashion to people who prefer 70s classic cars over newer one and they spend months restoring them in some sense
