The circle pan it goes on your power trowel to do the first pass on the concrete so when its to wet you don't sink and it will help your concrete stay flat. Many people don't use it. Just go with the blades when the concrete is ready. Like your videos. From Wyoming.

I read the entire Ryan’s ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxGqOCINHE0Z0E5gxzSdNi9NWGugRY5Hm2 Plans and was able to make a shed plan. Using Ryan’s Shed Plans alone, the shed itself is great. Where I wish I knew more is with respect to ground preparation and foundations. Maybe that's beyond the scope of Ryan’s Shed Plans.

The circle is a float pan that goes over the blades. You can also use float blades which just go over the blades for the first pass, or use combo blades that float at lower angles and finish at higher angles. The float pan or float blades will extend the life of the finishing blades on the machine by a large margin.

Hey, just a thought. But my Dad built a table on wheels that was the same height as his truck bed. That way, he just rolled it up to the truck and drug it onto his truck. Didn't have to wait for someone to lift it up. He did this for the trowling machine and the tamper. Yes Jamie is right about the tray. It is for when concrete is wet but you still need to get on it. Just really need to keep it clean and unblemished. Really great stuff today guys. 😊

That big plate is for storage and transporting the trowel. I've rented my share of them myself, but bought two at a big construction company auction.the smaller one was a 3ft model and the bigger one was 4ft model. And as for a vibrating screed board we built our own. All that stuff is just rusting away in the barns and sheds. When I had to quit working because of a very horrible construction accident that has left me basically bedfast.

In regards to the first question, oil in a new engine. I worked at a business that sold and serviced power equipment growing up. While many pieces of equipment we received were homeowners wanting us to service and store said equipment over winter which we offered. They had a contract with the local Lowes to repair the customer returns for power equipment that "broke or didn't work". Everything you can imagine.... mowers, tillers, anything with an engine. Lowes would tag the items with the reason for return and why the customer returned them. Many items had either no oil or bad gasoline (water). Some were fine and we always said they were bought for a one off job and returned for likely full refund after the job was completed cause they wanted to complete their project and then get their money back using the "broke or does not work line" when returning to the big box store....

Jamie, that timber Tomahawk box will make a awesome toolbox for anyone who wants it. Just about every boat builder has at least one of them with custom built internals for the task/tools needed. You can use epoxy and some glass fiber to strengthen the insides and make it waterproof, carpet the outsides to make it non scratch on surfaces, a strip of piano hinge and a latch to keep sticky fingers out, just about any idea you could think of.
I was thinking all your concrete tools mounted on slides to the side walls and if it has enough head room a drop in tray for small parts. But I have seen guys use them for everything from PPE boxes to first aid kits and personal lockers. I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with. And if you want more ask your local boat shop for old bow or stern thruster boxes.

Looks to be like that round steel for the power trowel may be a skid plate for transport to not damage the blades

I think it might be good to keep that saucer on there for storage and transport.

Hey Guys, I have seen Odell Concrete (he has a channel) use a 12 foot power screed. It is something to behold. Another carpentry channel, can't remember the name, use a saucer under their circler machine. The gentleman on the channel says he smooths gauage floors much sooner than with other methods. I think he makes three passes on 1 hour intervals. His floors look like glass.
