Mark you are doing a great job job with this build. The paint looks great and for what you had to work with on that interior you did amazing work. I love this build. I showed this video to my son because he’s a Sheriffs Deputy and he loved what you’re doing with this kit. So now I’ve gotta build him one. 😆 Also, I’ve been putting my Gaahleri airbrush to work and I’m just so happy with it. I’m gonna get the Swallowtail next. Thanks for putting me onto the Gaahleri airbrush’s. Keep up the great work. 👍
Thank you very much. I don't know all that much about programing, but with Google I can figure out what I want to do and find the answers. LOL I'll be jumping back into the garage as soon as I finish this build.
Nice job on the police car Mark! That is some really nice detailing especially on the radio and mossberg. The seats came out nice too, really looks like fabric inserts and vinyl.
That is looking really nice and will be a great addition to the filling station(there's a term I haven't heard in ages). Btw, it looks like that mossberg might be battling with your windshield for pride of place. Thanks for posting.
Thank you. I use to work at a filling station when I was in high school. I test fit the glass, and there's a bunch of room. At least I think there was. LOL
Outstanding detail and painting as usual. You will do those headlights! It will look beyond cool with everything flashing. Brake lights too. Come on...do it. LOL
@@grandpamarkshobbiesThat's exactly what I thought you would do from the get go. I have a gut feeling it's going to work well for you Mark. Let me know please.
It worked. I cut a video and my go pro didn't record it, so I'll make another one for the Squad car build. I'll try and have it made by the middle of this week.
@@grandpamarkshobbiesCool !!! Told ya it would work !! Glad it did. Sorry the video didn't work out this time. Looking forward to the next. Thanks man.
hello Mark... funny thing is ..i'm old enough to remember police cars that looked like that...the paint looks great...i don't think you'll have a problem with your lights... guys in my model railroad community use Arduino's (probably not spelt right) to run trains.. lighting ..to activate switch track..etc... Evergreen styrene products have various size tube that might help with your driveshaft issue... thx 4 sharing... vinny
Thank you. I've put these Arduino's through the ringer with my Star Wars builds, and what I'm afraid of is the small 12 Volt battery won't be able to keep up with the demands of the Arduino and the load from the lights. I've had trouble with running them on a 9 volt battery before, and these little A24's would just run down too fast. I'm going to make a test build tonight or tomorrow to see how much I can get away with.
That looks great! The radio setup looks just like I remember in the Grand Fury I used to drive. Turn signals look great! It looks like everything else lines up, wouldn't it be easier to cut the u joint off the drive shaft and add a piece of styrene or even sprue to lengthen the driveshaft? Awesome job!
Thank you very much. I appreciate the note on the radios, I really wanted to go black with them instead of the beige that you see all the time. I already have the transmission glued up. It'll be an easy snip and glue to make it right, and it will show the end of the transmission where it should be.
Why not just cut the driveshaft and use a piece of K&S aluminum tube just use the joint ends silpped in the tube.. Call it an upgraded high speed high torque driveshaft plus no seam.
Thanks for the idea, but right now I don't have any tube that is big enough to look right. It won't be hard to chop the old transmission and fit it in. It should be there anyhow.
Awesome video Mark! So who's on third and what radio is doing what? 🤣😖 That dash looks great. Sorry to hear that you cut back on the lights, so sad. I don't think the led's would draw that much to heat that Nano, you can put a small heat sink on the Nano chip. I think you are over thinking the voltage, it's regulates the 12v down to 5v and that should not heat that much. Did you do a test? I had to rewind the part of painting the white twice before I got what you did... 😆 Your welcome again for the kit and thanks for the shout-out! 😁 LLAP 🖖
Thank you very much. I will be testing the setup tonight or tomorrow. I really needed to do better with the shout out for you, but my gray matter was shutting down on me. LOL
@@grandpamarkshobbies Hay at least you got the name right! 🤣 989% don;t... 🤣 At least you have some gray matter left. I swear mine took a trip with out me... 😆 Just to reiterate, I have no real experience with Nano's just what I have watched over the years. Keep saying I need to, programming it holds me back. 🖖
LOL. I go into brain lockup and have to do a quick reboot. LOL If you want anything programmed with the Arduino I can help you out. I've been messing them up for a few years now with my Star Wars kits. LOL
Gear Shifter!!!!!!! That's what it's missing!!!!! I couldn't figure out what was missing!!! I'll change that next time I go downstairs. Thank you very much.
Please with all your excellent detailing, go back and fix your console. The bottom radio isn't a radio but a Federal PA 15/20 siren head. 15 has maroon face, 20 has light blue face and black knobs the ridge above the face is half silver and black and a red light in the center to signify on/off. the outside case is a metallic or gray cover. the middle radio is a Motrac radio head. It has aluminum face with black knobs, green light in upper left-hand corner for power light and in right hand upper corner a red light denoting transmitting. The color is beige and microphone output is in lower right-hand corner of the body. The Motrac speaker is actually square with black grille and beige body with just Motorola M in the upper left hand corner of the speaker grill and Motorola across the bottom edge in black border. The microphone provided in the kit is for the PA 20 and is all blue. So the wiring would go from Motrac head mike outlet to rear of siren head and microphone would be connected to bottom front center of PA 20. This kit has the most accurately detailed emergency console parts. I would move mike to the side of the dash just above the console to be in easy reach. Some departments put the speaker on the rear deck of the interior. Your shot gun is going to hit the windshield so reverse the bracket and it will tilt the shotgun back. I would also make up a little panel with rocker switches for the light package. usually where the radio delete plate would be. Hope this helps and hopefully this gets to you before your police dog puts it in service. greg
Thank you very much for the awesome info. I'll see if I can get my brush into the interior to do what you said. I try and make things as right as I can. Not sure if I can do that here, but I am ordering this kit again so I can use the radio for my Rescue Squad build. I copied your information and saved it in a file so I can get the next one dead on. I saw these radios on line, and most of them were beige, but when I saw a stack that was black I said "good enough for me" and ran with it. I thought it would stand out better in there with all the tan interior. I did test fit the glass, and the shotgun does fit, so I'll at least take that as a win. LOL Thank you again for the great information, and if I hear anyone else building one of these I'll for sure pass it along. Good stuff.
Unbelievably Realistic ... Great Work, Mark!
Thanks TJ I try real hard to get things right.
The body looks great. You have done a wonderful job on everything else too. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much. If you do the curbside like I am it can be a very quick build too. But there's enough detail to make it look nice.
Looks fantastic Mark, that interior color gives it that 70’s vibe.
Thanks. I'll be using that color for more builds in the future.
Well that white paint came up beautifully! Very interesting technique, I’ll have to try it myself.
Thank you. I've done that for years. Before I started doing that I would struggle getting white to look even.
It's coming along nicely. Good tip on the radio. Been condidering this kit, and I'll remember that radio swap. 😎👍
Thank you very much. One note, the mic should go to the bigger radio. I got that wrong.
I think you're a genius .you must be working around computers.i could never that.i hope to see your little garage again.😊

Looking great Mark, can't wait to see it with the lights on.
Thanks. I'm going to build a test board this weekend to see how much I can push.
That looks great Mark! I really like that color as it matches the year of the car. Great work.
