We recently travelled to Hawaii and couldn't stop eating them on our hikes. I was shocked to find that these are considered invasive! Thank you for this video!
Thank you for that video! Here is South Africa we call them Chinese guavas. Not sure why. I've got one fruit which I'm hoping to grow seedlings from. It's autumn here so I'm going to try to plant some and keep them on a heat mat. I hope I get it right!
I really appreciate your growing video. Specially all the work and effort you put into it. Hoping i get at least two plants from the 8 fruit my dad brought me
I'm not sure about the seedlings being true to the mother plant but I would think they are because there are so many out here in Hawaii and they pretty much all fruit. Birds eat the guavas and poop the seeds out everywhere! I believe low 60's maybe mid-high 50's farenheit would be all they could take. I'm no plant expert but these are just my general observations 👍 Otherwise I'll put an update up if/when my guava trees fruit.
I didnt use any fertilizer...only what is already in the soil. Miracle Gro potting mix 👍 I guess you can use miracle gro fertilizer if you want to add more.
I'll eventually experiment grafting guava trees and try growing from cuttings in the future but this video was on growing from seeds and to show how the guavas look.

Great hiking power snack, arent they?! Thank you for watching 🤙
Gorgeous little gray panther!!
His name is Shadow 👍
We go blackberry picking/foraging here in England. I couldn't imagine being able to forage Strawberry Guavas. The trees look so bountiful.
I'd love to forage for blackberries someday! 🤙

Did the seedlings grow up in direct sunlight?
Part shade, part sun 👍
Update? I’m growing some saplings and the wait is unbearable
Will do 👍
Are the seedlings true to to be exactly like the mother plant? Are they cold hardy? Thank you

Do you sell just the fruit? If so will you ship to Mass?
I’m sorry I dont sell any fruits or seeds yet. I’ll make sure to put a UA-cam short up when I do. 🤙
The other seedlings grew with the strawberry guavas looked like tamarind plants.
Yes they do! However they're actually "weeds" that have similar looking foliage. Every plant serves a purpose 🙏
Nice!
Thanks! 🙏
